We should have our mono very soon.

We have ordered some gear from Pro-Power. A 35mm squat bar and competition bench - as used at GPC Worlds this year and will become the standard going forward.

We have had a few new members start. One of them, sione just got chose for the WA state rugby team - he's a strong guy.

Will try get more updates happening it has been a little on the quiet side.....

The sleeping giant.

Was an awesome night last night. Johhny, Ricky and I squatted together. Rick punished 140kg 3x10, johnny 80kg 3x10 (way too light had 10kh more at least in him) And I did 152.5kg 5x5 on the cambered bar.

Looking around the room everyone was focused and training hard.

Dave is feeling it after the comp and isn't 100% so I told him to take the rest of the week off and be back next Monday.

Yianni is going about his work methodically and finished with some banded speed benching and the battling ropes.

Sione is always impressive and did 120kg for 10 paused reps on the bench like it was a training weight.

See and cassie were in doing their thing.

Matt Mai is starting to recover from his ass injury he's very keen to get back to training 100%.

Dan the gridiron pro squatted on the cambered bar up to 155kg for 9.

Plumber is recovering from a shoulder injury and is feeling the frustration but is working hard doing what he can. Saw him doing 40kg kb clean & presses with his left hand.

Darren squatted up to 135kg for 5s.

Amy came in for some light technique work. She's off to Hawaii Thursday for a powerlifting seminar with Louie Simmons... She's a x-fit instructor.

A beautiful hot Saturday with all the regulars coming in doing their best to push through the heat.

- Ricky and Johnny spent the day doing conditioning work up to 200kg prowlers. OUCH!
- James was in working around his shoulder injury... patience Plumber youll get there.
- Sione was in doing his usual heavy ass lifting... this boy is scary. He works 7 days in a panel shop and still has the energy to train!
- Kirsten was in for some benching and other upper body work. She is new to this type of training and comes from a different background of pilates and running.
- Pastorelli was in on the first day of his new program, with much more reps in his sets to increase some volume and work on building muscle mass.
- Thommo was in for a quick visit doing his 531 bench.
- Shanks deadlifted like a boss up to 185 for 8 which is light weight for Dan but some decent volume.
- I deadlifted today... 170s for a few triples then 10 sets of 140 off a 60mm deficit.
- Linus one of our newest members was in for a "shoulder" day. Linus competed at the Wild West Shootout a couple of weeks ago and lives close by to PTC so this is his new home. I look forward to working with him in the next year! He's a strong kid.. squatted 180kg and deadlifted 190kg at the comp, at 82.5kg.
- Dee was in smashing herself in the conditioning class with Paul... she hasnt missed one and her strength endurance is actually amazing and will serve her well.
- Mike came in for some deadlifting.

Id like to take the time so mention a friend of mine Colin Fender who passed away a week ago. He wasn't a lifter but I knew Colin through playing 8-ball in Mandurah and he was a great guy and at 26 was taken way to early. RIP mate. You were a champion, now a legend.

I also want to mention our very own Hannah who was in a serious car accident last week. She's a little beat up but she is ok... nothing some R&R and rehab wont work out. From PTC we wish Hannah all the best and a speedy recovery.... we will have a bar loaded for you on your return.

Well, thats it for this week.... until the next.

... Dan

Didn't get the Sportskraft?

I was thinking (and I'll speak to the Big M about it at ProRaw) it would be good if the squat bar had a second set of rings where the knurling would start on an IPF bar

A nice "cool" night last night with the regulars working their buts off, good to see.

A couple of memorable moments...

- Yianni pulled 200kg for 2 at 70kg bodyweight in preparation for next weeks GPC Push/Pull Competition - hosted right here at PTC Perth.

- Sione pulled 250kg for a PB, he has more in the tank.

- George came in and benched 170kg easily and just missed 200kg. Its George's first visit to PTC he's a well known lifter but hasnt been lifting much in the last 12 months. He is in the Push/Pull next week.

Well done crew...

Next Sunday we are hosting the GPC National Push/Pull Competition so please come down. The lifting starts at 10am and spectators are free. We will have a BBQ happening so you wont go hungry!
