20th July 2012
Thank god it was a little warmer tonight, the air definitely had the chill off it.
Was a small tight knit crew in tonight, which in fact is becoming a very familiar Friday night crew. While a lot of people are out there at sundowners, eating crap and being slobs, this bunch of people are in a warehouse fitted out gym working their asses off - now thats dedication.
One thing I love to see is people committing themselves week after week, putting in the hard yards, pushing themselves to new limits and most importantly getting results. There's no better feeling knowing you are making progress, whether that be weight loss, strength gains, body recomposition or whatever.
What I love about PTC and the group of people that train here... we all train for a purpose. No one is here to look pretty or pick up girls - in fact we don't want that kind of shit here at PTC. This is a real, focused and serious training environment where you come with a particular goal in mind and we help you get there.
If you train at PTC we expect you are working towards something... we don't want bicep curling mirror muppets in this gym, that's not what we do. So, if you are looking for a serious training environment and are sick of your local day spa/ health club then come in and see us!
On another note, this was the crew that was in tonight:
* "Dee" Dobrilla - Consistent as usual with the weight going up. Dee's consistency will reap dividends.
* "The Ace" Chase - Are you drinking motor oil from that bottle?
* "Frenchy" Mark - After 2 weeks of training he looks healthier and says he is feeling a lot more energetic! His wife doesn't know what to do with him.
* "Mr Bash" Ricky - Coming off a serious attack of the flu he's pushing through every training session fighting to get back to where he was. Knowing Ricky he will, and he will fast.
* "No Nickname" Matt - The quiet achiever. Doesn't say a hell of a lot but he trains hard, you can tell he really wants this.
* "Italian Stallion" Perry - A mountain of potential is waiting to be unleashed. Tonight Perry did his Deadlift PPP + Assistance.
* "Wingman" Dave - Congrats to Dave! Tonight he squatted 70kgx3x10. 6 weeks ago when he first started he failed 70kg miserably. To Rep 70kg 6 weeks later is fantastic progress.
* "Danimal" Dan - Preparing for GPC Worlds I did my Deadlift PPP + Assistance.
Saturday tomorrow... should be a great day with our Body Conditioning Class and the usual crew of suspects throughout the day.
