The day kicked off with our new Body Conditioning class... only had 2 today, a few chickened out! It's going to take some time to get this class going but we expect it to gain some serious popularity. Thanks to D and Sasa for giving it their all.
Matt had his assessment today and he's a very solid lifter in terms of technique. Matt squats/deads around 130kg and benches 80kg. We will have him on a 3 day program designed to get him to those magical numbers of 140/100/180.
Josh "The Boss" started his deadlift 290kg PPP program today. This guy is a machine and his progress will be awesome in the coming 6 months. He will be competing in his first comp in October and we are aiming for at least a 750 total.
Kapish "You understand?" is a super light weight who came to train with Josh. A novice lifter but ha a lot of heart.
Alex "Mr 10x10" is progressing through the gruelling program Aaron gave him. He walked out with a smile today so I am going to have to get Aaron to intensify his program and wipe that smile off!
Kurt "Big K" had a great day setting a squat PB of 190kg. This guy has bundles of potential which we look forward to untapping in the next 6-12 months.
Dan "shanks" was in again undergoing some final prep work for GPC Nats. He will be in on Monday night to perform his openers.
Adam "The Crab" started his new program today and got through it pretty well. Adam comes from a more bodybuilding style background but is now getting into strength training.
James "The Plumber" is another one of our Wendler 5/3/1 cult followers and it's working really well for him. For some assistance he added in some trap bar deadlifts which he had never had the opportunity to do before. He worked up to 207kg for 5.
Anthony "Mr Attorney" has started his new program at PTC and I've never met anyone so meticulous, careful and gentle in the lifting world. Lifting heavy shit just seems very out of character for him which to be honest excites me about him. He does have a mental barrier holding him back on adding a true weight to the bar but we will overcome that with him in time.
Dave "wingman" is progressing nicely. He's definitely come a long way sine the first night he was here. He's even talking about coming in for a 4th day for some conditioning work... that's the motivation I like to see!
Paul "Tommo" was in again on his Wendler 5/3/1 program, progressing nicely and being a very supportive good all round bloke! He posted a fantastic write up on his blog about PTC which you can read at Training Truth - Bodybuilding, Strength and Mass: I am back and welcome to PTC
Daevid came in to check PTC out, he trains at CBD in the city. He has commitments weekdays after 5 so can't commit to training at PTC but is going to try make it in occasionally.
Paul "Rucc" has been on and off training leading up to the opening of PTC Perth but is really motivated now to get back into the swing of things. My bro has been struggling with some upper back issues for awhile not which has kept him down, but certainly not out. Sure he could have quit but that aint the Rucci style... today he deadlifted 180kg 3 sets of 3. Keep in mind his max is 200kg and he hasnt deadlifted in about 2 months.
