Yeah pretty good. Busy all day so easy to ignore any hunger. Could easily eat if I wanted but easy to push through.
Big feed at the end of the day makes it worth it. Doesn't feel like dieting at all.
Not sure if I'll do it long term but it's a good option at times.
I suppose that qualifies as IF? I can't do it, I get too hungry and feel terrible. #hangry
Anyone can do it. Just gotta push through it.
Gets easier the more you do it. A lot of hunger is just trained. You normally eat at lunch so you get hungry at lunch time.
I can see the convenience factor of it, and fat loss and possible metabolic benefits of it short term, but not a mwthod I'd personally want to adopt long term. 14 cheeseburgers sound alright though...
I doubt any of the claimed metabolic benefits of fasting over simply the total macro and calorie intake that you eat for the day.
You are right. It's not for everyone. I like big meals. Night time is when I would normally fail and blow out my calories. So saving most of my calories for night helps diet. I do love a big breakfast but I can skip it if I have to.
In an ideal world I would just be able to eat a shit load whenever I want. Once a day is a good compromise.
However it's not the best option for muscle gain. Optimising protein synthesis is the name of the game for hypertrophy. There is a ceiling on protein synthesis for a single sitting.
That hasn't really been proven though. It just takes longer to digest.

It's not 1%. I'd say at least 25%.
no way it's that highIt's not 1%. I'd say at least 25%.
Haha. Fuck off.
no way it's that high
no way in hell
there's not even a proven link between mps and hypertrophy (in theory it should but who knows - if someone says they have a definite answer they're lying).
I kind of agree with bazza here, for the recreational lifter I am thinking more and more that just eating good food and plenty of it is enough.
I agree, that for the average person who eats healthy and regularly, it will give almost no benefit or change in results. I was comparing the optimal eating plan of 30g of protein at a time, 5 or so times a day vs only a single meal where you eat anything and everything (maccas from the looks of it).
With such an extreme intermittent fasting approach, when do you actually train? Afterwards when you body is trying to digest a stupid amount of food, or before where you're completely fasted and no immediate fuel?
