Tend to read quite a few different fitness forums (This, rosstraining.com, bigfooty fitness forum). Currently having a crack at Rippetoe's Starting Strength and planning some progression from that. Not so much interested in body building, but more gaining strength and fitness for Aussie Rules.

Goals include fat loss (currently down from 106kgs-93kgs from around April this year) Looking to hit around the 86kg mark and trying to keep as much strength. Had a layoff the weights over footy to focus on running alot more but back into it and working back up.

Looking to get my squat to bodyweight for reps (currently at 3x5x75), deadlift to 1.5 (1x5x92) for reps bench to bodyweight for reps (3x5x60) and looking to add chins some rows and dips eventually to my program (don't have anywhere to chin when i workout and can only do about 3 atm). Don't actually know where my 1RM is because I only have 92kgs of weight, which i hope to increase when I can afford to. Also working on form. Find all these forums have some great knowledge on them! Good luck to everyone and keep going with your programs. I hope you all reach your goals.

Goals are to get stronger and bigger. I weigh in at about 79kg, 180cm, at the moment. Pretty thin build.

Not a lot of training experience - a little bit in school, (no idea obviously), a few months at Uni where the PT gave me a typical machine workout. Squats or deads weren't even on the program. Didn't even mention eating.

Then early this year my employer hooked us up with access to the local EFM group fitness club. I went for a few weeks and did the listed program of cardio/bouncy ball excercises. Fortunately one of the trainers there is a weightlifter, so I talked to him and we organised a program. The internets taught me I needed to eat probably double what I was, so upped the food intake, and progress has been good.

Joined to lurk mainly - I like to learn.

- Any Interests: cars, my fiance, gym, among other things

I joined up to get some proper advice, instead of tiny PTs telling me i can achieve my goals in 3 months.

I would like gain muscle mass (suprise suprise), currently 88KG, 180CM tall (i think LOL), big frame, got some extra body fat but not too worried.

Name is Chris

I am an older lifter. Have been training in various sports for 30 years.

Not much good at anything, average at a lot of things, but love training.

I am 1.86 m and 93 kg.

Did some unofficial raw powerlifts last few weeks. 140 kg squat, 125kg bench with pause, and 210kg deadlift.

Best ever lifts in 1990s were 155kg power clean, 260kg dead lift, 172kg bench, and squat not sure as never went full depth.

Best 100m 11.2, 200m 22.5, 400m 50.4.

Would like to compete in PA raw comps next year. Will not have anything to do with powerlifting if have to wear suits.

Not much good at anything lol

A 155kg clean, 172kg bench and 260kg deadlift makes you extremely successful

An 11.2 100m time makes you exceptional. I love your modesty big fella

Welcome
