Hi folks, chavo's the name. New here obviously.
chavo is a 52 year old old fart desperately trying to keep what he once had. Been training for over 30 years: 165cm, 210lb that's me now. Used to be 220lbs cut.
Best ever bench was 435lbs for 8 reps, happy with 220 these days
Best ever squats were 450 lbs for 6 or 8???, happy with 250lbs today.
Just want to be the best all natural 52 year old in town!
Right, I'm off to read a few posts now.
Cheers

I'm 18 years old, and when I finished my HSC at the end of last year I resolved to get in shape (focused on loosing weight). I lost about 25kg over this time, however only started lifting in the last 2 months and now love going to the gym. After actively shunning fitness my whole life, I'm keen to make up for lost time and get the most out of my training, and this site seems to have some great advice to give. I look forward to getting to know everyone here.

Hey Guys ; ) My name is Michael i live in Sydney
Joined awhile back have been training for just under a year.
Started off approx 100 - 105KG now iam down to my Current weight: 86KG
but fluctuates real easy will try getting some pics up soon....
Name - Kim Age - 24 Gender - Woman Location - Perth Training Experience - Just starting out.
So I had a 'sign'.. or there were a couple
The laboured breathing when ever walking on ANY incline,
the way I kinda just bounced around not matter how hard I tried to suck it in,
got engaged- horrific visions of michelin man wearing MY wedding dress..
I SHREDDED 3 pairs of jeans trying to squeeeeeeeeeze into them....
then work put out a 12 week challenge
and for the past month it has been a slow realisation that I REALLY REALLY REALLY EFFING HATE CARDIO.
So this being the case there has to be another way to get the body I want without throwing myself at another treadmill. I would rather shoot myself in the stomach with a bb gun.. continuously.
But apparently there is an answer ! Everyone on the interwebs is saying FIT IS THE NEW SKINNY, Lift Heavy!
Lift heavy? This is actually a natural skill of mine =]
So it sounds like this could be my answer to ridding my world of treadmills.
I'm calling PTC in Malaga tomorrow and going to hook me up with some training on form (pretty keen on the Starting Strength routine) and hopefully I enjoy it so much I never look back.
Wish me luck! (pretty please)
Maybe I'll look as good some of you girls & guys too one day
Cheers
Kim

* Click here to start your own training log (don't forget to put a link in your signature to your training diary).
* Once you have started your Training diary click here to add it to the lists (order by weight and order by age) this helps other guys find your log.
