There's a guy who comes into the gym almost every time I'm there. Does the same thing every time. Basically every machine in the gym.. Does about three sets every rep is a partial rep. Worst technique I've ever seen. Haven't seen him touch any free weights.

Yep, it surly is, plus no travel. no gym fees, no posers, no wankers, no dick heads, no equipment hoggers etc etc :)

quite the contrary,

In many home gyms they would be literally full of posers, wankers and dickheads every time they were used

since I'm now PTing at a commercial gym I'm sure I'll have more to contribute to this thread soon. (still training at home though as my gear is better :))

Squat rack used for bent rows, RDL's & calf raises (one on either side of it).

Saw a PT run through 4 clients with exactly the same routine. This normal?

Ugh, commercial gym PT's.

This PT at the gym today, always shoots anyone lifting heavy the filthiest looks, and im sure talks bad about them (I.e. me) to her clients. Shes middle age I guess, and thin, hardly athletic.

Out of the entire gym she sets up her client directly behind me in the power rack doing assisted pushups onto a bench. I mean if I took an extra step back id trip directly over them. Out of the entire freaking gym, with 10 other benchs.

Told her its not the safest place to train her client, acts like she knows better. So of course last set of OHP I dump the barbell from head height directly on the spot they are training (not while they were training of course) and scare the shit out of them.

Use mine almost daily, never seen anyone else and have no mirrors so I am safe there as well.

This one baffled me. There was a flake chocolate bar wrapper on the floor of the toilet and chocolate all over the toilet seat. Someone snuck in a choccy bar on the shitter mid workout. Different!

That wasn't chocolate

Saw a guy in a NSW weightlifting shirt practicing the snatch... Apparently came 2nd or 3rd at state and qualified for nationals but couldn't make it due to personal / family reasons...

Never the less it was pretty Impressive to watch...

65 year old Co worker: were you talking to that guy about meal frequency?
Me: yeah, he said he was feeling hungry all the time. So I suggested having three bigger meals rather than trying to have six small meals..provided he get the same totals he will get the same result.
Co worker: you can't tell him that! He'll slow his metabolism and get fat.
Me: no he won't.
Co worker: he will, don't you know all the pro bodybuilders eat 10 times a day to fire up the metabolism. They even wake up at night twice to eat.
Me: pmsl rolf pointing my finger! No they don't!
Co worker: you haven't been around long enough to know what ur talking about.
Me: speachless and infuriated.

Moral of the story, I guess you can't teach arrogant old pricks New tricks.

Pretty sure most pros do eat like that.

Your response to him sounded pretty arrogant
