Sup.
I hang out on another more general forum and they got me into lifting, but I figure if I want some more support/info a specific place would be a good idea

so here I am.
About me:
-
Name: Tom
-
Age: 25
-
Gender: M
-
Location: Stanmore, Sydney
-
Sporting background: Ex-gymnast (Year 5 through to two years after Year 12 when I was coaching, so about 8 years). Managed to get to National level for Men's Artistic (open, achieved in year 12), placing second on parallel bars and helping the team come first. Favourite apparatus: Pommel Hourse

-
Interests: Reading, writing, editing, indexing (yeah, that bit at the back of the book), philosophy, the environment, good wine, cooking, the internet and (less and less) videogames.
I haven't done exercise in any meaningful sense since my gymnast days, and slowly my body lost it's shape. That said I've always had a super-quick metabolism so it's not like I'm chubby or anything. Anyway, my main goal is strength building and honing my body to simply become better. The routine and goals of weightlifting remind me of gymnastics and it feels great to get back to exercising. I started back in July but broke my foot in September. Having moved to Sydney from Melbourne I have just restarted (doing SS, I'll make a log thread) and am keen to really attack my training.
Anyway, I think that's it, I look forward to learning and becoming part of the community.
