Guess my question was, at this stage do you think I would make *faster* progression on PTCs program.
I'm not too phased, as you said I am still making progress. I just don't want to be at it in two years time and still have crap lifts.

Squat 112.5kg

Deadlift 130kg.

I know these aren't huge figures and nowhere near the 1.2, 1.5, 2xBW suggested around the place

your squat is 1.5kg off 1.2x BW, and obviously your deadlift is above that.

Have you only been training for 8 weeks ever? If so you're kickin arse, I wouldn't change a thing

I'm a begineer myself, but I know mixing it up and doing something new will always be beneficial to the body. Just try it and stop when you plateau.

if your making good gains using 5x5 id stick with it, i started on 5x5 and it worked great for me.

This is a great post PTC, Thank you, I have just purchased a squat rack and am about to begin a simple power based program just like the one you have set out involving Squat, Deads, Bench and shoulder press. When i reach those numbers on my lifts I will re-evaluate my goals and training style.
