The debate over the trap/shrug bar deadlift, and how to name it runs the risk of steering focus away from the most important issue — that the exercise has tremendous potential value for many trainees.
This explanation and tips from Stuart McRobert reads well, and although I don't really...
Hey guys.
This year PTC Brisbane is sending a team of 10 lifters to Hungary to compete in the GPC World Championships.

I am nowhere near an advanced level, I just simply want to give this option to you just in case it also helps you. Please feel...

I'd be good for 10...

Here's a current attempt, when somewhat fatigued, at about 75%:

With all of the variations of this question, it has to be one of the most popular questions in training.* This is an attempt to offer a perspective which you can’t get without stepping back from the question, and to offer some direct comparisons for three popular variations of this question...
Just recently tested my squat and deadlift. My deadlift is at 257.5kg and my squat is at 165kg.
I'm now on week 4 of sheiko routine 29, is my squat going to even out with my deadlift? Any additional exercises you would recomend?
I'm 98kg and tall
Just wondering what you guys think is - or even better, have found to be - the best frequency and volume for deadlifts, and whether it's very different for novice lifters vs. intermediate vs. advanced. And if so, in what ways.
For example, I'm probably still a novice lifter, pulling around...
I just finished up a practice run session for deadlifts that I will be incorporating into my my Back program. A year ago I stopped doing d\ls from some strained ligaments from work that took forever and a day to heal. The last month they feel good besides general soreness from standing In the...
Just thought I'd start a thread to see who was planning to going to any of these comps this weekend either as competitors or spectators.
They are in TAS, NSW, VIC and QLD this coming Saturday December 8th. WA had theirs yesterday, and if anyone knows results post them up.
I'm planning on...
Hey,
I've got a deadlift comp coming up next saturday and just wanted to hear any suggestions you would have for my final week of training before the comp. Should I max out tomorrow on my deadlift or save myself for next saturday, and how should I structure my training?
