CAPO National titles

Was a freaking awesome day.
Jason smashing his PB's and records effortlessly was fantastic!

When Kelly pinched the nerve in his leg, the whole crowds heart sank thinking it was something much worse. Great to see him getting around within half hour.

Matt and I were spotting and loading for the big guys after we lifted. That was awesome. Unfortunatly, me being built by match sticks, I had to hand my job over to somebody a but stronger. I ended up setting pin heights in the mono lol.

Jeff lam went awesome. He won 2 trophies, can't remember what for though.
He squatted 290kg for a PB
benched 236kg for the biggest EVER aus bench in the 90kg class. Unfortunately it was red lighted as the bar dipped as he was in the lock out section. Still, it was an awesome bench.

I have so many things I want to go on about. But I'm stuffed lol.

Before I go, Terrence, I love you. Haha, most awesme bloke there, you'll have to watch the DVD to understand why.

Also a massive, MASSIVE thanks to Markos and Spizza. You really helped me out over the weekend. It was very much appreciated.
Also to Jeff, Al, and pete for helping me with my bench. With out lammys advice, and the big whacks I was copping from Al, I know my bench would have sucked even more :D

Frank manning; great work mate, good to put a face to the name :).

Yeh I wanted to thank Markos and Spiros also. Markos for his guidance and support and spiros for my lift offs on the bench unbelievable how much these guys help us considering we dont even train at there gym on a weekly basis. I wore the PTC gear with pride.....

As far as the crowd goes, during the open men squats, I started to count them.

I stopped at 250 spectators, it was amazing.

At a guess, it was over 300, they were sitting and standing everywhere.

Some of the sponsors told me they were blown away by the event and they will continue to support it in years to come, they had no idea it would be this big.

When I went to them I told them we were a lifters federation, I dont think they understood. They do now.

More on this later.

Was msging the boys all weekend! - Blake went 140/100/210 @ 66.3kg - not sure where he placed overall in the teens but sick work from the Ned kelly!

Matty at 81kgs went 230/155/270 - heard Matty took out 1st in the juniors! - great work from the big man!

Looking forward to hearing more about everything over the next couple of days!

I didnt go to the presentation, this is all I've heard.

Nina finished 2nd in the Womens
Spiros finished 2nd in the Masters
James finished 3rd in the Masters

They were the placings for PTC lifters

In the Teenage

Mitchell finished first, Kelly Munro second and Michael Douek 3rd.

Daryl finished 4th with 460kg @ 67.

Tuff section lol

Okay, this is from memory, I'll adjust later if I'm wrong, bold is comp PB, all records listed are from this comp only and dont include other records already held.

Daryl - 160/120/180 - 460kg@67 - 4 WR and 4 NR
Max - 170/110/220 - 500kg@78
Nathan - 100/90/150 - 340kg@99 - 4 WR and 1 NR
Vicki - 80/51/112.5 - 243.5@58 - 4 WR and 4NR
Nina - 90/65/112.5 - 267.5@60 - 4 WR and 5 NR
Annie - 90/65/135 - 290@73 - 1 WR and 2 NR
Dim - 135/95/180 - 410@71
Dave - 192.5/107.5/220 - 520@106
James - 150/85/200 - 435@106 - 4 WR and 4 NR
Spiros - 210/130/240 - 590@110 - 4 NR
Kelly - 175/145/255 - 575@79 - 2 NR
Gareth - I cant remember Gareths exact lifts, I'll post up later, first comp

All the lifters hit PB's. Nathan was nursing a stiff/sore back, didnt push the squat or deadlift. Dim had a virus and missed 2 weeks of lifting and was still not recovered by the comp, still equaled his last total. Kelly equaled his deadlift PB, only this time he did it on his 2nd attempt, not 4th, so it really is a PB. Nina made a 90kg squat on her 2nd attempt, her PB was 92.5kg which was on a 4th previously. Spiros has competed before, but not raw, so they were all raw PB's.

Any lifts made during the comps 3 attempts I listed as comp PB's, 4th attempts I didnt list. Annie made a 140.5kg deadlift for a Womens Open World Record.

Nina and Annie both missed 100kg squats they should have made, they both missed 67.5kg benches they should never had attempted.

Max stood up with a WR 231kg deadlift but was redlighted for hitching. Daryl and Dim were also red lighted for hitching. Its a slight adjustment we'll make, the boys are bending there knees too soon for the hip drive,.

Max and Daryl both corrected during the comp and made 180kg and 220kg respectively after red lighting for hitching.

Max has stood up with all 10 competition deadlift attempts since he started in April, in fact he hasnt missed (standing up) a single deadlift attempt for 5 months, including reps on PPP.

whats next? Deadlift only comp albury december? (apart from idaho)

There was a stack of WR made throughout the weekend. Australia didnt have 1 WR listed before this comp, I think there may be up to 30 now in the raw section.

We had a few in the equipped section previously.

Was a good day, awesome atmosphere. Got to see some pretty massive lifts. I think gawains lifts are the ones that will stick in my head. Just the way he'd approach the lift and then smash them like they warmups. Also Dereck Boyers deadlift. The guy is a unit.

I had a pretty bad day. I got a squat pb, which wasn't too hard, probably could have done a bit more but missed a 150kg bench that I'd done plenty of times in training. I also ate shit during the deadlift. Pulled 255kg easy as, attempted 260 and then *crack* I just dropped on my ass. I couldn't move my right leg, I thought I'd snapped it. There was no pain though. I couldn't feel or move my leg for about 3mins. Ended up being a pinched nerve which just shot down my leg and seized them up. I just wanna thanks the guys who picked me off the floor and everyone who checked to see if I was ok.

Also well done to all the guys who competed. Awesome effort.

Haz they're WPC (which is the federation that CAPO is affiliated to) World records , not sure what you mean by "Real" world records....
