Hey all,
I’m after some advice/tips on weight lifting belts as I have never owned or used one before and am not an experienced bodybuilder.
At what sort of weight do you start using a belt for your heavy compound lifts and does it stop you building a stronger core?
Any advice/tips would be...

im going to be getting a belt for my training, ive been using a shitty $40 one from amart all sports which i thought was good untill i trained with my mate who has a 13mm lever belt from iron tanks.
i tried it and after my first set of squats wearing it i was in love!
It really shows how going...
I'm thinking about getting a belt. I have a bit of a bad back and I tweak it every few months.
I dont know much about belts, so a little advice would be welcome.
thanks
I read around alot and there are so many mixed answers. At first i wanted a Titan Toro or LongHorn but then there's good place to buy them, HoP apparently is not legit now and titan Australia has a dodgy batch going around.
What other belts do you guys recommend ? I heard Inzer is the best but...
I noticed these last two weeks that wearing a belt makes exactly no difference to me
At first I felt naked without it but in 2 weeks I am hitting and surpassing my old belted numbers on the squat and deadlift. On the squat it makes me feel "more secure" which maybe helps with unracking the bar...
Has anyone here used a 3 inch belt before?
I have a stupidly short illiac crest-rib area which makes a 4 inch uncomfortable when squatting, would a 3 inch solve my problems? Or should i stick with the 4 inch?
Thinking of buying from bestbelts (expensive, but quality).
Ive read they can wreck ur posture or form and there is no need to use them unless u actually have an injury, Then again alot of people have told me there not just for injurys they are to prevent injurys. Should i be using one im upto deadlifting 170 kilos.
