My answers to weight training will always reflect my beliefs, I'm from the school of thought that views "strength training" as a path for better athletes...
I've been to "lifting meets'(both "weight lifting" and "power lifting") and marveled at what I saw... "lifting" to those athletes is a skill... a tricky and sometimes dangerous skill but I've never worked with those guys and have no interest in ever doing so... my focus is on helping
athletes get stronger and better developed for their sport... if there is skill to be developed it's developed on the field of battle and relative to the sport... in the weight-room I'm only looking to develop "the raw material"(strength, muscular mass, muscular endurance, a combination of strength and flexibility and to some degree cardio-vascular ability...) and the complex skills of the "lifting sports"(and handling maximum weights) are not necessary...
i dont believe warm ups are needed.
