Tim, lee haney, one of best bb's ever, used this as an alternative to upright rows. it is much gentler on the body than traditional upright rows, but still effective for traps (less so arms).

Many times haha. Footy mostly.
In my 5 years of lifting they have never felt any good with upright rows. But ill give that movement a go when I'm in next and see what happens.

In the past ive not been able to do:

Pullovers.
Db flyes.
Certain positions on curls also.

Tim.

I gave up on upright rows years ago. I saw no benefit in them for the risk it puts on the shoulders. Just do front raises if you want to isolate the front of the shoulder with a bit of traps helping out.

Yesterday was legs, starting with heavy deficit deadlifts. Then 20 minutes of HIIT cardio on the recumbent bike. Followed by cycling home from the gym. Legs are screwed today.
