While doing bulgarian split squats on smith machine. some douche (actually a douche - curler fag skinny fag) standing next to the machine waiting for his Bro to finish preacher curls, i lift the bar/retarded smith machine clip off the rack to start. bam i hit him on the shoulder lol. "sorry mate." looked like he was about to cry, it couldn't have hurt that much. Sort of his fault standing right next to the bar when someone is using it.

oh and squat rack comes in next month. Im excited.

Something that cracks me up. The wannabe hardcore lifters. Some dude doing deadlifts, ok good. Deadlift with 90kg. Ok good its a start. So hes struggling to lift it for a few reps. Then when he finishes he walks around, clearly faking that he lifted so hard it hurts. Pretending to be dizzy, walking all around the gym like im a boss. But i was doing leg press and he came and helped me load some plates so hes a nice guy so nevermind what i said.

He was proud of his deadlifts mate, might have been a new 5rm for him. You were proud when you got a 90kg 5rm too no doubt.
 
At goodlife yesterday, i arrived but had to wait to start my workout because both squat racks were taken. The guy in one of them had 100kg (ie. 2 plates each side) on the bar and was doing some sort of rows with the barbell BEHIND his back..

I don't know how else to describe it. He stepped over the bar, put his hands behind his legs, grabbed the bar and started doing rows behind his body.

It looked awkward. It looked horrible. I don't know if its even a real exercise. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

got to gym there was a youngish chick ~ 60kg in the squats rack

she was doing squats, 70kg for sets
she then did sldl, ~ 50kg
and fuk me she then did powercleans!, with 40kg, for 4 sets of 8,
After a quick chat she is in her off season for cricket, apparently she is very good, and gets proper coaching etc, ( her cleans need lots of work but),

still it was impressive to see a young girl ~ 17??? doing proper strength and power exercises..

Just thought I would add a happy story!

Visited different gym today....

Saw Shrek squatting in the power rack...

I really wanted to go over there and tell him to hurry up so that I could do barbel curls in there.... :)

LOL Bro curler machines everywhere...

Also saw fit chick repping out with chin ups.... Love that stuff....

Yeah mate... I saw them... I almost thought you where going for 20 reps when you kept going after 10 reps...

At the time I just wasnt sure if it was you... Last time I checked your Journal you where somewhere up around 140kgs doing 5x5... however I see in your journal why you have pulled back a bit....

So Ill be sure to say hi next time.... Eitherway I was the guy who left my keys in the squat rack...

Next time theres free admission to the gym on the others side of the road... Ill let you know... if you like you can come over and trial it... Only has one squat rack... But theres more weight and much more room...

Having trained at your gym once... It is my opinion that where I train might be slightly better...

However I need to spend more time in your squat rack to get use to it...Bloody bar bounced of the left support arms at the bottom while squatting...

Im on a mission this year to build a bigger squat...

Saw plenty of muppets benching while there mates where lifting the bar for them!!!! And then raising the weight so that there mates had to spot more weight for them....
 
Oh yeah I remember you now. You were doing rows and then went to the chin bar.

Yeah I was doing upwards of 140 but I'm on cal deficit so I needed to pull back a bit until the new year then 160 squat and 200 dead is mine.
 
Was in the gym this morning and all the usual lads were in the free weights area. Then I saw a PT bring his female client over, she wasn't hot, but i thought good on you for doing squats. He set her up with 40kg including bar, bar in low bar backsquat position, feet in the same kinda position i setup for my powerclean, the girl is doing half rom squats while the PT is looking around the room at other people training.
 
Why do so many bro trainers do half benches?

Yeah... I just don't understand what thats all about...

Especially the guy benching 100kg spotted and then jumping up to 120kg...

I can quite safely say that the guy spotting was working really hard...


Also when I think about it.... That corner of the gym feels real claustraphobic... Its like a dungeon...

Sorry to all those PT's who do not deserve to be painted with this same brush.... I know there are quality PT's out there...

Had a PT once line up on a bench press next to me.... I was following a program... Looked like the PT just wanted to make sure he lifted heavier then me... Kept raising his weight over the same as mine....

Anyway he had the worst form I have ever seen... With massive spotting going on.... And bounce of the bottom....

Long story short... Puts 140kg on bar and lifts it off... Spotter looking left at the time failed to help lift off...

Bar plummets straight to chest of PT and doesn't move... Spotter realises his PT mate is pinned to the bench... Spotter proceeds to deadlift the bar back into the rack....

LMFAO!!!!
 
saw some kid fucking around and waiting WAY too long between sets. oh wait, thats me right now :D lol

might be going to a "good" local gym with mates on friday.... could be VERY interesting...
