overhead press forum bests

with this great and prestigious comp, we are hoping for some great rivalries, say like wingman v Oni.

So let the sparring begin with all words of combat decided by clips on the forum.

I am thinking Oni will do around 100kg at under 80kg, which would score around 70.

Hence, I would need around 110kg at 90kg to match him.

It will be hard for me to beat Oni, but one must always aim big.

I am thinking a score above 80 will win it, but hopefully we can all do decent lifts by the end of the year.

if it ok with forum members, I feel from front only. Behind neck is a bit easier.

Bazza, you should do well. If I remember right, you did reps on 90kg military press. Add legs, and you will get quite a score.'

Genics, can we look forward to your entry, surely you think you can beat Oni. Use Oni as your energy, as well as work.

BTN is easier. I'm fine with whatever you decide.

With my knees not being great at the moment my aim is to be able to get back into push presses the second half of next year.

I'm cool with anything goes, even jerks
I can't do jerks at all

Fuck, do it with a log if you really want
Belt, wraps, suit, whatever
Just get it overhead

I think we should stick to military press and push press from front (barbell), basic tests and not much technique involved.

We have 2 lifts we can do, one pure strength, the other with knee bend and drive.

These tests amongst best ones outside sports of weightlifting and powerlifting.

Bazza amongst those who should do well at both movements.

vonframm, are you in for 2014 military and push press comps?

beauty, you can do as many tries as you like throughout 2014.

I imagine you will do very well in military press alone.

If its not to late put me down, already Jerked 105kg at 82.5kg, hopefully going to improve during 2014

never too late, but remember you can do any type of overhead lift, but only military press and push press for 2014 comps for prizes.

With an Olympic lifting background, you should do good at push press.

Must put up clips though.

excellent, finally some verbal sparring.

Will Oni be the testing material?

Is wingman preparing for a comeback?

From what I have seen, Liam should get over 100kg in the push press at around 80kg bodyweight.

I did a 72.5kg press today and have done a 100kg clean and jerk, have clips if I need to post them. Down to 75kg at the moment. Push press is around 80-85kg last time I did it as well
