Brother my point was and is this: if the news is talking about the difference in the prices of potatoes between the two supermarket giants Coles and Woolworth, then obviously it's not gonna matter much what the news say, as lives are not at stake here. Do you get my point so far?
But if I create something on TV and use it as a pretext to get the general population on my side in order to go to war and kill and be killed, then you'd hope that one would not blindly believe, but rather examine the facts and see if what has been presented is falsifiable or not. A good example here would be the 9/11 incident. Some people believe some people don't. And both sides have their evidence as to why they have taken such a position.
WMD in Iraq is another good one. Do you remember that one? It was back in 1991....

nah i got it.some people may or may not have been caught planning a grievious crime.the court system will decide in time whether these people deserve to be punished.

9/11 happened. There is no debating this. Losers siting on their computers in their parents basement have been trying to dig up conspiracies about it for years and every single one gets knocked down by experts. Then the conspiracy nut jobs then just go to the next random thing.
