Sharia law 'threat' sparks rallies and counter-protests across US



Protesters have rallied across the United States to denounce sharia law, the Islamic legal and moral code they claim poses a threat to American freedoms, but critics believe anti-Muslim hatred is behind the condemnation.
ACT for America, a self-described grassroots organisation, staged "March against Sharia" rallies in New York, Chicago, Boston, Denver and Seattle, as well as many smaller cities.
On the steps of the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg, barricades and a heavy police presence, including officers mounted on horses, separated about 60 anti-sharia demonstrators from an equal number of counter-protesters.
Many of the latter were dressed in black masks and hoods and chanting: "No Trump, no KKK, no Fascist USA
 
Religions shouldn't be heard. If they are in the media then shit is likely going wrong. Still waiting for all the moderate muslims to protest those interpreting there religion incorrectly.

Also Good to see the lefty protesters managed to fuck it up so bad again.

Probably the worst one I've seen so far : Quran 4:89; "They would love to see you disbelieve, just as they disbelieve, so you would become equal. So do not befriend any of them, unless they emigrate in the way of Allah. If they turn away, seize them and execute them wherever you may find them; and do not take from among them allies or supporters."


WOW. That seems to be a blatant call to execute non-believers.

So you got the first bit wrong. Yeah no doubt some rednecks and their racist mates were happy that trump got in. I was over there while the election was on. I told my Mrs not to bring up trump because they can get pretty passionite about that shit and yes we were out with the hillbillies. A fair few people brought the topic of the election up to us and wanted to know what we had heard about it in aus. The common theme from them was they didn't want the democrats back in because they have avoided the middle states of America so trump was getting the vote by default essentially. Most didn't really want to vote trump but didn't have a choice. Democrats lost the election.

I think looking at passages from the book, especially in isolation can only lead to one conclusion. There will be plenty that are indefensible.

The bible has similar passages, which were used in the past to raise armies, travel thousands of miles and murder Muslims in the name of God.

This shit has happened before and the Europeans were the bad guys that time.

They had the same book then. The book is not the problem, people are the problem.

The Muslim states could shut these guys down in a week but they haven't. The clerics could be condemning the actions but they aren't. These are the real problems.

Islam also has a very flat structure, there is no boss. The local preacher doesn't really have anyone to answer to. This helps avoid Christian type corruption but it also makes it difficult to pull radicals back into line.

I wasn't sure how bad the Quran was. I had heard in the past that it wasn't bad. Now I'm starting to realise the reality.
 
When Pauline Hanson said she wanted a Royal Commission into Islam I scoffed. Now I see why people are so concerned.

All we need to do is take a look at the constant conflict and war in the middle east through history and the present day to realise the insidious affect Islam has on people and nations.
And this goes for pretty much all religions.
