technique is perfect, but test was other form which is harder.

Look at all the other guys, they do other style.
 
no reason, why we cannot do both styles in comp, but two lists. So your effort is not wasted, again well done Taurus.
 
at 17, I could only do 1.

at 22, did 19, my best at 81kg bodyweight.

But 22 at 98kg is excellent stuff, and quite an achievement.

You've come a long way then. With all our junior rugby stuff, we were introduced to chins and pull-ups pretty early. A good introduction to so many different ways of training. Thinking outside the square is what has kept me

yes, it is good for young footy players and sportspeople.

all we did was pushups and situps, so nothing really for back.

I always suggest to youngsters to go to rail on boundaries and do chinning with legs on ground to get started. that way they develop their back muscles early through bodyweight movements.

Then they can progress to high bar, some probably quickly.
