Dear O.N, you need to come back so you and I can have our little chat regarding your post on some Qur'anic verses please Sir. I know you're sitting there comfortably, operating behind an anonymous name just like the person whom you've copied and pasted above. An anonymous identity is not an issue as most here go by that. But when you wish to create disharmony and spread mischief in society, especially at a time when tempers are running on high with some people, then you should be held responsible for your actions, in the form of your written words, (or the words you've decided to use through someone else's writings by copying and pasting)! Now you see Sir, I've read and studied the bible thoroughly for two whole years, I was an agnostic at the time. But I did not stop there. There were many verses in the bible that needed answers for me, so I did what a genuine seeker of truth would do. I went to church, and I went to a college called Moore theological college here in Sydney. I went there to have my questions answered, as any honest and genuine seeker of truth would do. I did not use what I did not agree with to bash my fellow Christians and Jews with. I did not take verses out of context and say, hey look, Christianity and Judaism teaches this or that,. I did not do that Sir! And I did not do that not because I was unable to do it, but I did not do it because I would have been a hypocrite to call myself a Muslim and do such an evil act! I am not God, I don't judge what people believe or not believe. Each to his own when it comes to God or the absence of God as the case may be. As a law abiding citizen of this country, I want my kids to walk the streets feeling safe, and not afraid of being attacked through hate crimes that are based on ignorance, fear of the unknown, and misinformation, (no thanks to people like you and the person you've decided to copy and paste here). You see Sir, you and the like of you can not dream of ever provoking someone no matter how peaceful that someone is and expect a zero reaction in return. Sooner or later a retaliatory form of action would come, and then people like you would surely point the finger and scream, "terrorists"! As you can see, I am responding rather than reacting to your toxic poison which you've decided to spread on this forum, and I'm doing it in as much a controlled manner as I can handle. I say that because I am not impressed with your actions and I need you to be very much aware of that fact.

I have chosen to deal only with the first verse that was quoted from the Quran above, as this is the one most (if not all) haters of Islam like to use, or rather, abuse!

You see, intentional Misinterpretation of Qur'anic verses and removing them from their original context has been an old trick that many have used to try to give the impression that Islam is a religion for war and that it's always about the killing of non-Muslims. They depend here on the ignorance of those superficial readers who believe them and rely on the idea that if you can fill someone with hatred towards something then he will not be ready to hear the other point of view that can clarify the truth and hence destroy these allegations…

This is not the case for the reader who is seeking the truth and is open minded enough to listen to different points of view then form his own opinion which will then be based on a solid foundation.

Reading a passage of the Quran in context does not mean just reading it with the preceding and following verses (as would usually be the case). You have to also know the sha’ne nozool, i.e. the historic context, why and in what occasion Muhammad (pbuh) said a certain verse. That is why we have tafseer. Tafseer is the interpretation of the Quran. Tafseer means interpreting, clarifying,expounding. It is derived from “fasara”, which means “to explain, to open or to unveil”.

I am so big and important that Safeway gave me an Everyday Rewards card. Coles also gave me a Flybuys card so I guess you could say I'm a pretty big deal. They both send me catalogues, delivered by hand by a Chinese lady who I suppose is a fedex courier, though I have never had to sign for them. Oh, and I got some sample sachets at Fitx from Redback so I guess you could say I am a sponsored athlete as well.
