Different parts of the brain do different things. While I.Q. is a helpful indicator of some abilities it only tests certain parts of the brain. Social smarts are due to other parts of the brain. Perhaps those I.Q geniuses were underdeveloped in the social parts of the brain, sometimes referred to as E.I. (emotional intelligence) or perhaps they spent their lives buried in books.




Doesn't really apply to me, I prefer to think with the little head.
 
I heard people who can lick faster have lots of IQs too

That's a rampant generalisation, if you want to be a maths professor, then you want to have a damn high IQ, if you want to be a butcher, you don't need one. My point - IQ DOES amount to dick in certain circumstances, it does seperate those with potential to be great and change the world (academically any way) and those who won't.

I'm not putting your mate down btw.

FFS Poni. You have a greater chance of happiness the more advantages you have. A high I.Q. is an advantage. Thus you do have a greater chance of being happy with a higher I.Q. (all else being equal). Now shut up and eat your Pudding!

Thats not true at all social skills and ambition trump iq anyday.

What good is intelligence if you can't convey or act on your thoughts cause your a scared little bitch, or a intelli snob who people hate.

what did I say Brick, "all else being equal"!

We already addressed social intelligence (E.I.) a page or two back.
 
A lot of the successful people I see are smart but they also seem to have the ability to manipulate people to do what they want without them knowing it.

^Once again social skills (E.I.) as I said previously.

All else being equal, including E.I., a high I.Q. is an advantage.

I wish I had a high IQ, than again, maybe I do, I haven't been assessed, so potentially I could be a genius.
I do like the sound if that.
