good luck. Hey just out of curiosity, is that squat performed with an olympic barbell, and do you go below parrellel (maximise the exercise)?

hiya
20kg oly bar (included). i squat low, but for the 1rm form was not ideal. i'm doing squats tomorrow with my strongbuddy and will try to get some pics.

Dont worry about what everyone else weighs, not everyone is running the same race in this comp:)

dont get too excited. it was far from perfect.

and im going to need to revise my goals about lifting using straight bars.

im working on leg press and yoke at the moment as im having trouble with my grip (long story, see my training diary) due to a floating bone which has settled in between to carpel bones and I need to have surgery which will mean eight weeks off using that wrist and may reduce flex / capacity as well which is a bit scary. neutral grip (traps bars etc) are easier to work with at the moment but anything over about 60kg on a straight bar is getting wobbly in that hand.

im keeping my chin up and we are putting together workouts using machines instead of traditional weights (which i dont prefer) so that i dont put pressure on it.

the surgery will be a bit like this, but with less bone removed...

im a bit worried. ive accepted that i have to get it done, but im still really nervous.

i had a consult with a surgeon who i just didnt feel confident with - so i went and got another referral to a specialist who is gonna end up costing me a heap out of pocket but its not the kind of thing you wanna skimp on i guess. not sure when i can get in but im laying off anything weight bearing on my wrist in the mean time coz its really getting annoying.

in other news, lost .4kg this year so far

today i bought a cute dress, size medium, and im going to upload a photo tonight coz i reckon i look pretty good in it (for me, anyway haha)

Reading your negative self description and all the I wasn't expecting much, boy was I wrong, don't be so hard on yourself, Good job so far. [/WK]
