dunno.. I added a few to the beads tonight and didnt notice any difference in flavour but they seemed to burn quite well.. should be ok

lamb turned out pretty good - a little overdone but not terribly so. meat was really tender and taste was great..

love my weber ;)

Black Angus Steak and Prawn Skewers on the Weber today.

Bloody delicious.:)

No photos though:(

Cooked a shit load of diff cuts and meat over the weekend, Will post up tonight.

You really know you've had a solid meal when you need a shower and not a napkin aye

Do you think it might be a waste of time using the weber to cook a piece of steak or chicken?

I can see the value for a slab of meet, but not single pieces, that'd be a right pain in the arse.

Personal choice I guess.

My webber is set up on the back verandah, and I prefer using it to the stove.

Can't really see how it is a pain, takes no longer to light than turning on a stove and waiting for the pan to heat up.

Chuck in 4 fire lighters, chuck coals on top and light, go away and do something else, in about 30-40 minutes it's ready to cook.

Takes no effort at all IMO.

Food tastes twice as good, and makes no mess in the kitchen to clean up or smell inside the house from cooking meat.

Use it at least a few times a week.

I think once you have the system set up and know how to use it and light it with plenty of time in advance it's no pain in the arse at all. Took a bit of experimenting to get the feel for it when we first got it, but all good now:)

Clearly I should have made myself more clear.

Compared to a gas BBQ.

I got a kettle bbq a few months ago and I'm in love.

I've got some really good ideas from these guys, they have some great vids....

BBQ Pit Boys Food Channel - YouTube

Haha, yes, I guess it's more work than a gas BBQ.

I do have a gas BBQ as well, but the Weber wins for taste IMO, I use the weber a lot more than the gas BBQ, the gas one generally only gets used when we have people over for a BBQ or at parties, as it is much bigger.

The Weber gets used when it's only for me and the missus.

Pork Ribs are one of my all time favourites on the Weber....LOVE THEM:)

I'm with Mick with regard to cooking individual steaks etc on the weber.. The effort is really minimal - Throw some heatbeads in the chimney, light it, come back in 20 minutes, dump it all into the weber, give it a few more minutes and she's ready to go.

Pretty straight forward actually...

Pour heat beads in.... Add half a pack of firelighters and light it up and leave it for an hour.

Total time to set up... A couple of minutes...
