Pools are pretty balanced, its obvious in each pool who will be top of that pool. All Blacks WILL not lose, they can not, home soil, excellent form, and these frogs have no chance.

I reckon Fiji will make quarter finals maybe even semi-s.

Nah Ireland will just be like Scotland, Wales. Only making quarter finals. I swear these teams have not developed much (look at England ect)

France are a good side at the moment - winning the 6 nations this year - still a team that could beat anyone on the day!

Dunno about fiji - cant see them making the semis - not really an improving team and they are ranked no.11 or 10 atm....behind all the other teams mentioned.

Ireland are a good side but cant see them beating Aus in the Pool, scotland have no chance, Wales - they seem to get beaten by samoa every world cup lol.

England are prob the biggest improving team in the world atm - in regards to slowly getting better and better where next yr they could explode - same as they did in 03.....This english team is showing good signs...they are slowly starting to have a game plan more like All Blacks, Wallabies, South Africa.

Yeah i meant England was an improving side atm. With my comment on fiji there is always a team that never looks like making it coming in, but make it further than expected. They did okay in last world cup.

Yea man - I hope one of the Islander countries make it through - Im a big fan of Samoa!

Benji is only going to get better.

Benji Marshall wins 2010 Golden Boot

December 3, 2010

Regarded as one of the games most exciting players, Wests Tigers and New Zealand five-eighthBenji Marshall has added the Golden Boot to his ever-growing list of accolades throughout his career.
The award, which is in its 25th year is given to the player that is seen as the world’s best player. Marshall beat out Shaun Kenny Dowall, Paul Gallen, James Graham, Billy Slater and Sam Thaiday for the award.
“To win this award, after coming back from three shoulder reconstructions, winning the Four Nations, and having my best ever year since I’ve started in the NRL, is pretty overwhelming,’’ Marshall said.
“I’m pretty excited. It is something I definitely won’t take for granted.”
The voting panel contained three former Golden Boot winners in Wally Lewis, Hugh McGahan and Stacey Jones as well as former Great Britain international Garry Schofield, former England Rugby League coach Phil Larder, ex NSW coach turned Nine commentator Phil Gould, former France coach Louis Bonnery and also journalists from around the world.
As the winner was being announced, John Drake, the editor of Rugby League World Magazine has declared that Marshall was a dominant and worthy victor.
“It was a landslide victory for Benji Marshall who achieved maximum points from 11 of the 13 members of the voting panel,’’ Drake said.
“The Golden Boot award recognises a whole year of performances at domestic and international level.
“Benji’s match-winning performance in the biggest game of the season, the Four Nations final against Australia, proved his undoubted class. The very best players produce their very best performances on the biggest stages.”
Marshall was the catalyst in the Tigers charge towards the preliminary final, and in a rare feat for the five-eighth given his previous injuries in the past, Marshall played in each and every one of the Tigers games in the 2010 season.
Marshall is set to be a Tiger for life, with a contract with the club until the end of the 2015 season.
“I’m delighted for Benji and it is richly deserved,’’ Sheens said.
“Things were not always going his way. There was a time in the middle of the season when people were on his back and the pressure was really on him.
“To come through that and win this award is a credit to him and it exemplifies his determination and perseverance to get the job done.”

Benji is a great player def the best in the world atm - Hopefully he has a good year in 2011.

Heard acouple of reports that he was thinking of changing to union but prob just media - dont think his play would suit union anyway - abit like Quade Cooper for the wallabies.

Was watching some Top 14 French rugby yesterday and came across another Australian player the ARU has let go over-seas - Mafileo Kefu - he is brother of prob one of the best Wallabies forwards ever - Toutai Kefu.

He currently plays for Toulon in France - Centre 180cm and 104kg of pure craziness lol - here is a highlight vid - but if youtube his name there is some huge hits he has put on!

Mafileo Kefu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sad to see these sort of players not playing in Aus - there is something really wrong at the top end of rugby development in Aus - there are a number of players that went over-seas before they had been given a real crack and are now killing it - world class players.

I guess if your on about $1-2 Mil and living in France maybe playing in Aus for a few hundred thousand isnt the 1st thing on your mind lol.

Yeah hes a tank, same size of nonu except not as solid probably. There was another good aussie player Chris Latham who moved to europe as well. When australia is not doing well and there are 1 million dollar contracts, i would take it :)

You'll find that most European rugby clubs have a budget of about $15-20 mil euro lol

Saw Karmicheal Hunt playing the other day in the French Top 14 - I bet for this one season he will make 1-2 mil.

Just something to do while waiting for AFL lol.
