Goosey posts alot of great advice on the forum, unfortunately most of it is only relevant to trainees in their 60's. I thought we could have this thread so he can fill it with tips on his thoughts on exercise in your twilight years.

If you want to worship nautilus machines or give cryptic confusing answers to simple questions then this thread is for you.

If goose gets his tits in a twist over this thread I promise to just spam it full of hot chicks over the age of 55, so the cranky old coot can drop some viagra and nut one out.

Great idea. I am sure Goosey will make a great contribution.

For myself, given I am over 50, i am not sure i am doing anything different from my younger days, besides traning according to what works best for me.

I have always struggled to back up from heavy workouts, so continue to train primarily on moderate and medium heavy weights with occasional heavy week, or a light, medium and heavy week cycle.

Perhaps when i hit 60, i will need to modify.

You ok?

Great thread. Tell me more about how the scapula should move around on the bench during bench press and how all rowing movements are identical.

Try stretching and contracting the pecs without moving the shoulder blades

I have a good list of exercises that can be done with a Zimmerman, but for the life off me, I can't remember where I left the fuckin thing

You two do realise you are jut a couple of crabby old cocks, by all means be bitter cause your own shitty lives will end soon with very little contribution to life on this planet but please refrain from forcing the caustic negativity this realisation causes you on the rest of us!

thank you & please try And enjoy the remainder of your retirement

I read elsewhere that doing weights which don't allow a rep range above 8 is doing damage to the joints of people of all ages, is this true?

Don't know, still trying to figure out what a deadlift is stiffy.

I think the official definition is being rewritten as we speak. Without speaking out of school I think it will be something like "If the bar goes from the floor to the hips, with feet on the same side, its a fucking Deadlift!"

Yeah, that could work.

There's no mention of hands, can I strap a chain around my neck to lift the bar, is that still a fucken deadlift?
