2012 London Olympics

when i was younger, used to cross off days to Olympics. Drove me mad.

Bit more relaxed now, but can't wait. Mens 100m and 200m sprints are going to be awesome. Also the Kenyan (Rudisha) in the 800m, world record holder, is awesome. Poetry in motion. Saw him run in Melbourne in March.

I just installed the London Olympics app.

Awesome.

Just search "London Olympics 2012"
In the app store. It's free.

watching the road race , anyone but great britian , i don't want to be watching the tour de france next year and hear "cavendish/wiggins gold medal winner of the 2012 london olympics

i think they were still stuck in tour de france mode , they had control of the peloton but the break aways were too strong

with all the funding and training , high tech gear , a country up near russia comes out in front

cavendish , the whinging pom complaining that the aussies didn't do enough to help him pfft , tosser , with him being "the greatest cycling, the fastest cyclist in the world" he should've been able to do it by himself , the break away got a could lead ahead , Stuar o'grady could've come out and said that he should've won as he was the one that got the break away working as a team

British Weightlifting Documentary – Girl Power, Going For Gold

he BBC made a documentary about 3 British weightlifters as they prepare for the London 2012 Olympics.
Girl Power: Going for Gold
The film follows Zoe Smith (58kg) (@ZoePabloSmith), Hannah Powell (48kg) @hannahpowell92 and Helen Jewell through the various battles for the 2 women’s spots on the Olympic team.

Zoe Smith, Hannah Powell and Helen Jewell have dedicated their lives to the ultimate Olympic dream of representing Team GB at London 2012. BBC Three has been following these young teammates as they hone their skills, resist temptations and watch their weight in order to secure one of the two female spots on the British weightlifting squad.

We see how they cope with living away from home for the first time, serious injury, a relentless training schedule, travelling the world and being under the spotlight. Finding out if it's possible to balance being a serious athlete with growing up, getting an education and falling in love.

The film follows the countdown to the London Olympic Games for three young girls with an extraordinary talent. But will mental strength prove just as important as physical strength in the battle to become Britain's strongest girl?

Disappointed by Cavendish and his unsportsmanlike whinge .. bad form, sir

Hoping for a better day for us Aussies in the time trial. Go bike boys!!

Inspired by the 48kg women's weightlifting...amazing efforts, congrats to winners.

Gotta say yay to Italia for getting Gold, silver and Bronze in the Individual Foil fencing comp!!
Plus to the Archery team getting gold.
I wish they'd show more of these than all that boring swimming of laps blah.
