Advice on routine for skinny guy :)

This is perfect, I started on this 3 years ago and did it for a bout 12 months until I moved onto a squat, deadlift, bench split. Do this for 3 months and eat a lot more food than now and you will see results. Consistency + effort = result. Keep at it dude.

    Squatting shoes

Can vouch for do wins here as well. Obviously good for squats but had carry over to other lifts I found as well. As ONI mentioned, feet further back with a heel when benching. Increased stability in pressing overhead and barbell rows. In saying that I haven't worn mine in ages. Squat in...

My Homemade Rack Mounted Wrist Rollers (pics)

Ah I should be more clear. I used a standard bar that has "collars" that sit inside the rack. I cut the pipe so it runs on the collars not the knurling. You couldn't use an oly barbell.

    Benching

as mentioned above, sounds like you are aiming to touch the bar too high on your chest. should be lowering the bar to your lower chest/nipple area hee hee nipple.. if it still hurts trying to touch the bar that low then you have shoulder mobility issues.

    leg press info

Ended up getting a used body solid leg press/hack squat unit. Awesome bit of gear and feels a lot different to squatting. Nice to have a variation of leg movements now. Bring on the wheels in 2013 :)

True words overheard "I think I'm in love with him" "Are you sure babe? Have you had a poop at his place" "Yeah babe" "Omg that's huge, I'm so happy for you" Hysteria ensured. I was gob smacked....

My Homemade Rack Mounted Wrist Rollers (pics)

I can vouch for these. I made one today but with a old standard bar instead of the safety rail so it can be mounted inside the rack. Exact same set up and principle just doesn't get any interference from the bottom sections of the rack. Also used skateboard grip table as an aid. I want this...

    early morning trainers

2 scoops protein 2 scoops oats 400ml milk 1 banana Blend the night before so the oats are soft. Banana thickens the whole thing to keep the oats suspended instead of settling at the bottom. I run my oats through a mix master thing so they are pretty fine Seriously try it, I think it's...

    leg press info

My thoughts exactly. At the commercial gym I could squat my work stuff then rep out on the LP and it really felt different. I will still squat for strength and 1rms etc but the press will be good for higher volume and growth. Just waiting for a decent 45 degree unit to show up second hand now.

    leg press info

My lower back cops a hiding too after squats. Leg press just felt like a way to further smash the legs. It seems the quads/glutes/Hammies can keep going but the rest of the body has had enough. Enter the leg press Awesome for calf raises too. Expensive gear for accessory work but meh it's only...

    leg press info

Yeah I'm bored of just squatting for legs and the workouts suffer for it. When I first split with my ex I had to go to a commercial gym and I didn't actually mind the leg press after squatting. Just different I guess, variety and all that.

    leg press info

You can get dual hack squat and leg press units for a bit more. I do like the size of it though, especially for home. Calf raise bit is a bonus. 315kg would be using 25kg plates I reckon, just doesn't look like much room for loads of plates. Good option though, cheers for the suggestion.
