Ode to Squat... and 6 tips to improve technique

Solar, still a little confused as to the location but I took a guess...you may want to check all of these webpages about illiopsoas bursitis & tendonitis (you might be amazed at their accuracy or it might not be that at all...) Medscape: Medscape Access Iliopsoas Bursitis Exercises |...

Ode to Squat... and 6 tips to improve technique

Solar, can you explain in more detail where this hip pain is. The sacrum takes quite a beating with wider squats, and some people don't recover well from that, creating chronic pain.

Jimmy, I've mentioned exrx a few times. Workout Creation Instructions and their other pages will give you knowledge for a long time to come. What's the youngest you'd go?

the other day I was watching a docu about Ian Thorpe. He was having a similar conversation with a friend, but the question wasn't about age, but who (kissing). The options he was given were some lady (didn't know her and don't remember her name), and PM Gillard. Ian decide to choose Julia, "just...

    My Program. Opinions?

I'd agree with Danimal about volume, also on shoulders. Not for novices, but Steve (Istvan) Javorek has a 5 day /6 week program featuring legs & shoulders everyday (heavy on squats and step ups and OL variants). I was introduced to it when it was adapted for a M&F magazine in the late 90's. Go...

the what u saw at the gym TODAY thread

the first gym I trained at was owned by a guy with several National Bodybuilding titles behind him, and the average member was 5 foot tall and 4 foot wide, but on the walls were these signs that said "Please unload your equipment when finished, not everyone is as strong as you are, and the...

the what u saw at the gym TODAY thread

today @ the gym... I've been watching this kid do concentration curls, or at least that's what they're supposed to be... lots of shoulder and lower back work in there, not much elbow flexing... Anyway, this morning I thought I'd have a go at some supersets of SQ/RDL/BP/BBRow (8 reps/pyramid...
