Training Partner Wanted - Redfern/Darlington (Sydney)

Have home gym, looking for someone living/working near me (Darlington near Redfern station) so that can be flexible on times when needed. I train evenings after work, and sometimes weekends. Flexible on lifts/program, but I'm focused on compounds (Squat, Deadlift, Press, Bench, Pullups, Rows)...

    Which diet should I do?

Lost 3kg so far on IIFYM tracking with myfitnesspal on my phone. Lost some cm off the waist. Only problem is gym is bloody hard when restricting calories. Was still trying to increase weight each session and hurt my left trap on too heavy deadlift. Doing cardio only for 2 weeks to recover...

    Which diet should I do?

IIFYM and myfitnesspal is working well, I'm getting the hang of it slowly, reducing my trips to the pub as a result. I find with lower calories it is harder to lift, so I'm not increasing weights much but at least the lifting will help me retain muscle. I hope I get used to the lower energy...

What do you do when you go to the pub?

Usually only once per week but can be up to 3 times. I'm not at the pub before the gym :) But yeah I think you're right, I'm always trying to have my cake and eat it too... Priorities I need to follow better.. Maybe I need to find other social activities

What do you do when you go to the pub?

Blonde it is.. It's not too bad. I need to lookup my favorite beers and compare, never thought about it before but it's a big hit into my weekly calories as much as many meals

Thanks good tips I'm leaning towards high protein and tend to have a scoop or two of whey isolate when I can.

    Training with no shoes

Ha very possible training on my own Free balling is as far as I'd go though, I like a shirt for the grip on the bar and thin trackies so my weak shins don't get distracted by the bar dragging on them in dead lift.

What do you do when you go to the pub?

I have a pub across the road from my office, everyone calls it the "boardroom" because of how much time people spend there! I don't have kids so I guess that's why it's still a big part of my life. What are the "no carb" beers? I thought that was a gimmick or a myth. Vodka diet coke sounds...

    Training with no shoes

I train at home without shoes, mainly because I can get started quicker, don't waste time getting dressed etc, but it also lets me stay cooler in hot summer weather. The main thing I want to know, is it ok for squats? I've been doing ok for my first two weeks but my squat is only 80kg as I'm...

What do you do when you go to the pub?

What do you drink if you want to keep calories down? I prefer beer, which beers are the lowest calorie? It's too hard to cut out the pub it's a big part of social life.. I just want to minimize harm to my daily calories. I'm talking about pub only 1-3 times a week average.

    Which diet should I do?

Thanks I've just installed myfitnesspal on my phone and logged yesterday's gym, cardio and meals. It estimated I should net 1700cals per day to achieve 2lbs lost per week. I was able to achieve that yesterday by walking the dogs for an hour, doing my gym session and eating only 2 rice cakes...
