I know; I remember at one time possibly scaring you of the RED, as in the Red Korean Ginseng with hair on the face etc; highly unlikely Nicole and here's something you may find interesting...

Fadi.

Thanks, Fadi. The bearded lady thing did deter me, but 'highly unlikely' sounds like a risk I'm willing to take in the interest of experimentation :). I'll sit on the wait list for some of the red magic and see how it goes.

Nicole, the Red is some powerful stuff indeed and a lady like you is meant to take it for say 6 weeks on and 6 months off. However the way I'd like you to take it, which would not cause any problem, would be for only those two days a week (at the end of the week as you've mentioned earlier) where you're feeling a need for a "kick" or as you have put it, a "perk-up".

I do have a suggestion for you though and that is to drink mint/pepermint/spearmint tea, which has been found to lower excess testesertrone in females (facial hair etc). Men should know better to saty away from pepermint tea.

Testosterone and Mint Tea
This is another weapon one can use, both males and females according to what is happening with their male and female hormones. After reading the findings in these preliminary studies, I know exactly where I stand on mint tea consumption. I thought it wise to share the same news with you.

Mint Tea Warning

I was promted to go on a research when Brenny (from another forum) asked the following question:
Very interesting. So is there no nolvadex equivilant for test? What if you were a woman and your test levels were too high, what would they give you?......

Fadi.

I didn't know mint tea did that. I love green mint tea.
Time to bin the mint tea.

thanks for the info.

Mike.

^^ Thanks so much, Fadi. It'll definitely give it a try when the ginseng arrives and I can monitor impact and managing potential side effects :).

I'm with shrek, i expect too much out of my supps. probably spurred on by manufacturers advertising claims.

but yeah i did the 100 burpees today Fadi.

10 minutes 50 seconds.

I did my first 30 in about 1 min 30 secs, i was absolutely flying and then i hit the wall pretty hard, i reckon i could easily improve by 3-4 minutes on that. Setting the bar high mate!

FWIW I am 120kg.

......120kg...10min 50 seconds....WELL DONE!
If you ever say you knocked 3-4 minutes off I'm not sure I'll believe you, it would just be too impressive :p

Wow, great effort!
Well done . My best effort to date 12 min 35 sec (20 in 65sec then 8 times x 10 )

I'm in real good nick at the moment, I play grade rugby in newcastle, been doing so much running, tackling etc etc since december for pre season!

Heaps of drills where us fowards are basically hitting the deck and getting up again, easily doing 20-30 burpee like movements every training session!

If I get under 10mins, i'll make the lanets align and post a video, but i dunno if i have the means to do that yet.

I will say, my jumps weren't as high as the guy in the first vid.

I'm going to get onto this. It's sounds like a great form of cardio. something you can really measure! If Fadi endorses it, it must be good for weightlifters like myself!!

100 burpees - 20, 15, 10, 5, 5, 10, 5, 10, 5, 5, 10 - 16:48, -2:09 compared to last time.

Haven't really done any intensive cardio since the last 100 burpees 3 weeks ago, just some low-medium work, so I was happy to finish the 100 burpees, even happier than I beat my previous time! :)

Felt a little easier. I could actually jump high all the way through, except the last few reps maybe.

with those 'rep' ranges...how did you come up with that? from experience...or reading or being told about a similar style?

It's my little strategy to get through 100 reps total, because I can't do 100 in a row, obviously. It makes it physically and mentally easier when I know exactly how many I need to do before I get down.

The plan starts with an invert pyramid (because I'd be fresher at the start):

20-15-10-5-5-10-15-20 (total = 100)

Then I break down the last 15 and 20 into 5s and 10s, because I'd be too tired to do 15 and 20 in a row by the end. The result is what I posted.

I do similar tricks for any challenging high rep stuff, like 20 rep breathing squat. I don't think I've read it elsewhere and I don't really have any experience in this kind of workout, as this is my 2nd time doing 100 burpees. I do know that's how my mind & body work together, however.

Well done on the improvement Dance. Now bobo is only one second behind you!

Fadi.

That's a tight one! Good to know that my trying a little harder on the last 10 reps helped to get me 1 sec better than him!

I see that yours is the next one I need to take down, Fadi. ;)
