Crossfit has popularised the deadlift to the extent that everyone now thinks that pulling more 4 plates is a demonstration of strength. Even if they can't squat for shit or press more than a 10 year old. Fuck it was easier when people just asked how much can ya bench and looked at your biceps.

wasn't worth my time. Why does gerry think that he has to derail his training or compete head to head?

It's just best gloss in comp by the end of 2015, whenever the fuck you decide to lift.
 
this thread should be deleted - they're not even in the same fed (not to mention PL is more about competing with yourself).
 
i agree.this year is about my own personal goals.and if he does well with what hes doing,ill be happy for him.ive already made the mistake of vocalising what im going to do and this and that,im not doing that anymore.

why? because those that can beat you may decide to compete on the same day?

you have a twisted sense of reality if you think your the best, but rely on the other "best" people to not show up.
 
I take my hat off to gary. As much stirring as he may do, at least he can admit defeat when it comes to it
 
yes, he was intimidated. The power of words can go along way. I always thought he would beat me, although not by much given age scoring.

Because Gerry has now told us whata great athlete he is, I have decided to give him another chance to beat my in the clean and press, or clean and push press.

Gerry, I would go for latter given my skinny legs.

Gerry, are you up to it? I am a hack, and you can play AFL easily.
