LOL, I have one new ausbb member, Mason, will be a lot more soon, its becoming a pretty good powerlifting forum now.
We are going to Jackson tomorrow, apparently its described as heaven, anyone thats anyone has a home there, Arnie etc, they said it would a crime for us not to go, its 90 minutes from Idaho Falls. We are going after Max's lifting.
It actually sounds to good to be true, but I'll have a look.
Pity Max doesnt have an ausbb shirt to wear during the interview, we'll be stuck with his PTC one.
The Strong is Strong logo has blown people away, I have so many to send back to the states, they really love em. We are doing a trade.
I'll find out the station and see if we can see the interview on line somehow.

Max won the Gold Medal and finished in first place in the 82.5kg class. they combined the WPC and AWPC together and he won by 5kg.
He totalled 490kg. we under calculated his squat and left 10kg on the platform, he smashed 172.5kg for a PB. we decided to not go for a 4th attempt as we were here to win, not hit PB's.
in the bench he had dramas with his hand spacing as the knurling is very different to our bars, and he missed 110kg but made 107.5kg.
He was pretty stuffed by the dead as it was 2.30pm and he hadnt eaten all day.
We knew what the other guy was taking, so Max took 210kg on his opener and hoped it would be enough for the win, and it was.
Quite a few lifters dropped out, so it was only 2 lifters in the class which is dissapointing, but the guys that dropped out were lifting well below Max and the other guy anyway.
I'm going back into the presentation

Pack it in one of those mega soft drink refill cups.
You could have cushioned it quite well if you brought one of Fart Dave's pair of undies along to stuff in the cup. Bit more forward planning next time fellas!

Congratulations Max, super effort mate! You've done everyone on here and back home in Aus proud. You must be pretty bloody stoked with it, massive achievement and glad to see you rewarded with gold for all your hard work and effort!
Congratulations too Markos, as Sticky said you must be proud as punch at the moment mate! Max must be proud to have you as his dad too considering all the time and effort you've put into supporting max and his training and organising getting over there..
Congrats again and enjoy the rest of your trip! Looking forward to seeing some photos
