I would have like maia to try to go for a grapevine armbar with 15-20 seconds to go at the end of the round. I get he didnt want to give up position though, I still enjoyed the fight though. Maybe maia vs hendricks now to see if he can deal with a stand up type of guy or maybe winner of condit and rory.

Style wise Finch was a good matchup for Maia,(lack of dangerous standup) he is far from GSP ready, he has no standup to back his wicked ground game, rory/diaz/GSP/Condit any of them top guys will tear him apart, until Hendricks gets a good battle under his hat im yet to jump on his bandwagon, as for Edgar, 3,4,5 were his rounds, as for Aldo's leg kicks, he threw a few then edgar started catching them, after round 2 he was to tired to throw quick ones, UFC judges are retarted I cant wait for the day Dana takes control and gets a real judging panel of ex fighters/real experts to judge, then the sport will excel to the next level,

....You thought Edgar beat Aldo? Not sure if serious... l get he was 'busier' in rounds 4 and 5 and l had him winning those but l just cant say he won round 3. He doesn't do enough damage when he lands 'significant strikes' which is what l think holds him back a lot. Joe was talking about lil nog throwing kicks where they just went to evans and not through him when they landed and l think thats what frankie does all the time.

Maia is 2 more big wins away from a title shot possibly. Still think he'd get marquarted against a well rounded guy. Glad hes gone back to grapple fucking people though instead of thinking hes k1 maia like shields has done....

Anyone else think Overeem's K1 title is a bit overated?
Aerts had broken ribs going into the Final and Saki had a broken arm. Overeem targeted both those weaknesses.
I wonder how Overeem would go in Kickboxing that wasn't tournament based (K1 being a tournament to which Overeem is more used too).

I've always been a fan of Maia and its great to see him tearing through guys at welterweight. I was not surprised he couldnt choke out Fitch (who seems to be immune to submissions :P) but I was really surprised he dominated him on the wrestling front.

Ride29er, you need glasses more than judges assigned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission if you think Frankie won that fight :P

LOL......Shields........LOL........who?????

I meant Shields in terms of hes a fucking good grappler but thinks hes got top notch stricking now so he just uses that instead of his bread and butter.

I think ride29er is secretly Cecil Peoples.

I can see where someone may argue Edgar won it, but IMO they got the decision right. Aldo got rounds 1 and 2, no question. I thought Edgar got rounds 4 and 5, although Aldo did ok in round 5, so I think some of the judges may have given that round to Aldo.

The way I saw it, round 3 was the borderline round. Edgar started to get his timing and get into the fight, so people who think he won would prob say he got rounds 3, 4 and 5.

But Aldo's front kick in round 3 was so bad-ass I had to give him that round marginally, and I thought he won 48-47.

Agree that Maia should of went for a armbar, chokes seem impossible on fitch.

Overeems K1 belt, may have been gotten against injuried oppenents, but he still has some of the best striking around. His loss to Silva was from him being a wanker and gassing lol.

Awesome that fighter rankings are up.

Good to see my boy Mendes is still considered #2 at FW. Funny that Sonnen doesnl't have a spot.

Not sure how I feel about #5 onwards for P4P/

Probably already heard this but it was Tavares that got done for roids and not Belfort although belfort is now on trt which is fucking bullshit for a guy who loves his peds.

Yeah tend to agree with Overeem losing coz he was being a dick, he was fighting with his hands down most of the time and showing no respect, was good to see him ko'd on that effort, don't think he will be doing that again...

lol, no doubt on the 'trt'. Looked fucking huge and shredded lol....

Has he been popped before?

Yeah, as long as he bloody learns. Was gonan come eventually I guess. Hope he comes back with some fire like cain did after his loss.

Has vitor been popped? Lolol. Seriously though, yes, yes he has and that doesnt count the times he competed before anyone was tested. He was 19 (maybe 20?) And fucking shredded at 220ish when he won the ufc tourney. Hes been on a lot of stuff for a long time.

So... UFC 157 coming up soon - the first ever women's main event (if I'm not wrong) anyone tuning in?

I have very limited interest in the women's fight....just expecting another first round armbar.

I am looking forward to Henderson vs Machida though, should be a humdinger, I like both those guys...tough one to pick.

Ronda Rousey is pretty damn good, hopefully its another first round armbar, cos thats is pretty dam cool for a signature move. Not sure how I feel about headlining a ppv though.

Not sure on Co-main, cos I hope Machida wins, but I want to see Jon Jones get H-bombed lol....

Faber should win.

Chad Mendes opponent fell through, but might be replaced with guida, after unsuccessfully calling out Lamas?

Kockcheck is a dickhead... hope its an exciting fight though ad not a wrestling match.

Yeah it would be nice to see Rousey go past the first round..

Is Josh Koscheck fighting? I agree Figjam Brah - It would be great to see him stand up and strike and hopefully get KO'd although he is obviously good at what he does so we will just have to wait and see what happens.....
