the what u saw at the gym TODAY thread

I had dem feels a while ago when kunce thought they were the next crossfit star. They were stealing all the olypmic bars for like obstacle courses/boot camp. Had a word with management and they got another 6 bars in. The crossfit fad has died down as well, so now we have a surplus.

Not much else you can do but go a different time of time. I've been with Goodlife for years now and really happy with them.

I asked a kunce in the rack how many sets he had left, he looked at me like I just raped his sister. He was doing upright rows with 5kgs on the bar, I wanted to do OHP. He then tells me to use the smith, which I reply with "I don't like doing it in there, can I work in?" He says give me 10 more minutes, I'm sure he did one set and pissed off in that time.

Another 3 bro's all using the incline benches in the flat posi to do rows. I ask if they can share a bench or use a flat one and get a "just got two sets left brah".

I usually train during the middle of the day so these kunce aren't around! I see goodlife has an eofy special going at the moment, might go check the local one out, just been putting it off as the Admin/joining fee gives me the shits

Guy doing deads with not even 100kg on the bar, slamming it down at the end of every set and groaning. I was beside him squatting 135 or so (bloody lbs) and making a point of quietly re-racking.
I took about 3 sets of me giving him an "are you fucking serious" look before he copped on to himself and STFU.
 
I've just found a well equipped gym nearby that does $5 casual visits. Might start mixing it up a bit. Get annoyed at some new faces for a change... ya know...

when you're the NEW kunce you YOU get to to be the annoying face for a little while instead of the other way around.
Sensation is short lived though.

Haha, don't worry, today I was talking this old(ish) lady who trains at my gym daily and she says 'are you new here'? I said....'no I've been here for a couple of years' Lol.

Must have had that new kunce smell...

Well the kunce got me. Only have to pay for the time I use, so my 18 month contract will last me 3 years. Shade over a grand for 3 years ain't bad though!
 
Pay for the time that you use? How does that work.. is there a timer that logs how long you spend in there??

Goodlife hey, might have to check it out in one of these brosesh's, haven't been to a good life in like 2 years.
 
Nah, cos I can't use it when I'm at work so I only pay when I'm in Perth. At the moment I pay for a year but only get 6 months of actual use. Now I paid for 18 months and it will be an actual 18 months of use, so span 3 years considering I only use it every second week.

There was plenty of brosef's in there when I went, that's why I signed up. But they've got decent deals at the moment on 12/18 month contracts
 
Hahaha they take your word for it that you will only use it 1/3 of the time? Damn I should have said the same.. only go to the gym 1 out of 10 days m8, sign me up 10 years lol
 
Nah, it's like putting it on hold when you go on holiday but they do it every fortnight for me. The card won't work when they're not charging me
 
Full arm bro wearing possibly the gayest thing I have seen yet.... he was wearing what I can only describe as 'bikini gloves'. The were like half a glove that covered half of your hand e.g. the bottom ran across the mid point of your palm (horizontally), so probably half way between the base of your thumb and the bottom of your fingers. WTF?
 
First day in the new gym...think I spotted every Ausbb playa there
