Sydney PCT Research Study

Researchstudy

New member
Hi all,
I am a member of a research group based in Sydney. If anyone is thinking of coming off, this study looking at effectiveness of PCT may be of interest:

Thinking of coming off T? We are conducting a research study exploring recovery after non-prescribed androgen/anabolic steroid use.

Are you a:

  • Young man (aged 18-50),
  • Currently using androgens/anabolic steroids without a prescription
    OR
have used androgens/anabolic steroids without a prescription in the last year,
  • Want to stop using?
If so, you may be eligible for this clinical trial, which aims to test scientifically, for the first time, whether medically-supervised post-cycle therapy (PCT) helps recovery after stopping androgens/anabolic steroids, compared to placebo.

To participate in this study, you will be asked to provide sets of blood, urine, and semen samples at various times during the study, and to complete some online health-related questionnaires.

To receive more information, please email
SLHD-androgen.study@health.nsw.gov.au or ring 9767-7222 and express interest in the Androgen Recovery Study.

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary. Any data collected will be confidential and will not identify you. We will not ask you to provide any formal identification, but we will request your age. This study has been approved by the SLHD ethics committee (Protocol 2021/ETH11807).
