Hey guys,

Just thought some of you may like abit of an update of whats going on at the club!

Of course as most of you know Matt and Blake have been prepin for the CAPO Nationals this weekend - both have been training hard and pushing eachother to train harder each and every week! - Iam very pleased to see both get stronger over the last few months and improve tec and also there training methods...

Blake has been running the PPP program and I have been helping him with supplement work - He seems to have worked out some sticking points which is pleasing to see and we have both discussed early in the week the best way to peak for this weekend in regards to cutting weight and bringing himself back up so he is 100% - pretty excited to hear what Blake does this weekend!

Matty has been doing Sheiko as discussed before - I had him on a variation of 29/37 - added board and speed work which has helped his bench a fair bit I feel and also form on bench has improved - there has only been small changes to Matts form with all exercises that he has played around with and I think it will show at nats that he is now a better lifter for those small changes. The last 5 weeks has been a sheiko comp program - we have not changed anything really - only some small things i.e added tricep and shoulder work.

As I said above excited to see what these guys do on the weekend! - then looking forward to them resting up and maybe getting in some suits and prepin for the deady comp in dec.

We have also had acouple of fighters join the gym - they prob joined about 2 months after we had opened - now these guys train hard - come in at 530AM - set the tyres up outside, set the prowler up and totally destroy it - all I can hear in my office is the sound of vomiting and yelling at eachother.....crazy mofos

Both guys had a fight on the weekend: SEAN AND LON - PowerSports Team.

"Gday PowerSports.

The PowerSports Fight Team had an awesome weekend with some hard fought battles in the cage.

Lon Rose fought at 77kgs against a World 1 MT kickboxer. It was a vicious first round of which Lon dominated getting in plenty of top shots, cheeky elbows, and owned the caged space. Unfortunately he got clipped... early in the second round and the ref called it, causing him to lose due to TKO (Ref Stoppage.)

I fought my debut fight at 93kgs against an experienced karate opponent. I managed to deflect his strikes, clinch and dirty box him against the cage. With a quick double leg take down let loose with GNP and was soon stopped by the ref."

Also another highlift over the last few weeks has been Johns new squat suit - a 2 ply metal squatter (I better not get it wrong because I will hear about it lol) - what has made it even better is that he has a broken hand - I remember the discussion when he was thinking about getting it - I asked but you have a broken hand hows this going to work - I got the response come on dude I'll use the safety squat bar...do you really think I will wait to use this suit.. lol

John is a great lifter and I think has the potential to have a BIG squat - hopefully he will be able to compete later in the yr and show off his talent! -

Everyone else is going well with there training smashing it hard in the Power Shack (as Johnnie calls it lol) - I have been very busy with my own training and rehab work and will be looking at competing later in the year and now have decided to get the rugby boots back on for next session!

Now its time for me to do some Sled sprints!!!

I will try to keep getting more vids and pics up when the guys are training! (I have said this before lol)

We will have to wait and see with Matt - see how much he can cut....

I wore my PTC Powerlifting t-shirt to uni today, there were people who came up to me to ask what powerlifting is! hopefully i'm not giving the wrong message that i seem all tough, but if one of them Googled powerlifting or PTCfrankston, it's done its job!

any plans to sell a PowerSports t-shirt to us internet fans? I'd be keen to show some support for your gym, i'm sure many others are too!

also a huge lol @ the video of Sean Godkin. the people in the background were rooting for the other guy it seems.
