I've taken the piss a lot in this thread but I want to say something serious. This is not a war of religion it's a war of poverty.
For the most part these fighters are from places of incredible poverty, this ideal they are preaching is spreading like wildfire because humans are resilient the harder you push them down the harder they fight back when given the opportunity.
We have everything thy have nothing, so they hate us. Simple shit really.
Unless the west commits a genocide it will never beat this movement towards Muslim autonomy. Our soldiers aren't fired on by memories of hungry child hoods, relatives who die from minor ailments, brothers and sisters with distended malnourished bellies. We cannot fathom how shit life is for a Syrian goat herd or a afghan carpet weaver.
These people have a drive to fight we cannot ever understand, as they see their brothers gaining traction more and more will join them.

this is true to some extent. when you have nothing, you can be very upset.
However, look at the Swedes. Once comparatively poor, but look at them now.

Yes, in some instance poverty can drive one to do bad things, but IS are not just doing bad things brother, they are doing or committing evil things towards anyone who does not agree with their point of view, plain and simple.

Creating poverty I can understand as being one of the motives or drive rather, that I can understand...To grab someone's attention enough to cast aside their shepherds staff or carpet weaving loom grab a kalishnakov and start shooting you gotta have a pitch that stirs some fire in the belly.
I didnt see all africans brick, i simply said the happiest people I have seen were on that continent. just trying to dispel the great myth that you cant be happy unless your rich and have lots of stuff, which has always been perpetuated to grease the wheels of our society and economy and of course make others richer.
here is some irony, one of the nicest people I have met was muslim, was thinking about him from all this conversation so went to his fb page to see what he is doing these days. turns out he unfriended me as i had an argument with some guy who had posted a load of anti jewish shit on his wall.
