@Gerry ; yep, Dean Jones could destroy an attack in One Dayers. Then something happened to him and he just fell off the scene real quick. But at his best, one of the greatest One Day Batsmen of all time.
I grew up watching Aussie teams closely around that era.We played them regularly through out the 80s,however as soon as Hadlee retired we struggled to be competitive anymore.
Then Warne and McGrath as the maturing of the Aussie top order made the Aussies pretty much unbeatable.It seemed as soon as someone retired there was someone younger and meaner ready to take over.
