The instructional video one is no longer available.

EDIT: My luck on youtube is not that good with stuff showing proper form.

looks good...

Whats the difference between an RDL and a SLDL? They look the same in the youtube vids.

What's RDL, I assume regular deadlift.

Well sldl is as name suggest without bending your knees (or very little bend) and regular deads are lifted from the floor. I thought you would have known all this by now 'Dred?

I thought he meant Romainian deadlift....

There's not much difference.
With the RDL, I think there is a slight knee bend and you push your hips back a bit more than SLDL.

YouTube - Stiff Leg Deadlift

I don't like the way she stands on the dumbbells, but butt makes up for it.

thanks hulk, you just saved me the time of visiting some porn sites after i'm finished here :)

but seriously i'm having trouble with this excercise. is this meant to be performed to failure? if i use any decent amount of weight my grip fails well before the hamstrings are even fatigued.

now i'm just gonna look at that clip one more time

Going to try out some SLDL but just wanting to confirm the correct technique.

Do you stop the weight on the floor between each rep (hence dead lift) or do you not let it touch the ground between reps?

stiff leg you let it touch and rest. RDL you go as far as your flexibility allows and come back. The movement begins with an eccentric.
