ok..... I'm hoping I haven't wasted precious Sushi $ on the book I bought today. 50 Shades of Grey by E L James. Anyone read it yet? It's supposed to be really pornographic. Didn't even flick through the pages at the shop.....
wow, its a trilogy!!Sorry not something I would have bought....
Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.
Next I'll be buying an Ab Circle Pro and In-Styler hair straightener!! Garrrrr!
Marching powder by Rusty young one of my favourites, read and enjoyed the alchemist. Motely Crue : the dirt was one of my favourites too.

Great book, one of my all time favourites, cult classic. I recommend it to everyone.
catch-22
Haven't read it.
do androids dream of an electric sleep
Interesting book, as you're probably aware the one blade runner was based on. I don't remember being blown away by it (like I was with SIASL) but I had to read it as a huge blade runner fan.
brave new world
A prediction of how the future may turn out. Fun spotting similarities in our lives and this book. To compare it with 1984... 1984 hits you like a hammer, the government is oppressive. This book is more about the insidious ways we can be controlled and how we accept it.
1984
Similar to ABNW. It's bleaker. Orwell is a genius, I would describe it as a study of how to break the human spirit. Can you make a person say 2 + 2 = 5 with them believing it? You tell me...

I really like fantasy, and Herbert wrote a pretty good one here. It's interesting to note that he led safaris or some sort of work which required a knowledge of how to survive ina hostile/barren environment. It shows in the book.
LOTR
What's their to say... greatest fantasy ever written? I must admit others criticisms of it being 'a bit drawn out' in places are valid but........ for the most part I strongly disagree with these people. Tolkein had a subtle touch that was lost completely in bringing these movies to the big screen (courtesy of CGI animators sticking their dick in everything).
