I posed as a bodybuilder on stage when I was 7 or 8 in a kids' talent show. Still have the pics & video too. Does that count? :p

That came about when I was asked to do a second act (my first one was singing) and wasn't prepared for it, so I just did whatever was on my mind: took my shirt off and flexed!

I'm pretty sure I had lower BF% then than I do now.

What did you ride?
My latest was an eastern, before that DK :).
I was always a better rider than skater.

BMX for me too. i still have my S&M Dirtbike and stacks of parts, theres a Hoffman Flash frame somewhere in the garage. last time i rode was about 1 1/2 years ago maybe less

have you seen the kids that get around on dirtbikes (on and off the street) around our way. no lights, no helmet, jacket, boots or gear. some of them look barely 10...but they are having fun

yeah i can hear them sometimes from my house. i was down werribee beach not long ago and there was a pack of them on dirtbikes and quads, they just rode all over the place up the footpath through the park etc. looked like fun lol

I have to admit, i stumbled upon this site looking for advice, but also a chance to mix it with fellow aussie b/builders and share knowledge, opinions etc. However it seems there are mostly powerlifters or those who lift the iron not for competition or vanity, but rather health or strength?
Am i right? Just having a squizzy around the forums and I see people asking things like 'whats your 1rm' and such. I see Damian is a bodybuilder in the true sense, are there others around? Its not a dig, im just guaging the population here?

Were you looking for proffesional bodybiulders or hobbyists bodybiulders?

Mate I lift for performance but that doesn't mean I am not a vain girly man who likes it that his triceps are looking bigger from all the dips and close grip bench I have been doing. But I know if I lift for performance I will get bigger muscles and look better, most old school bodybuilders were both they lifted in events for strength and competed on stage to be judged on their looks. You can do both and not be limited unless you want to be a pro in either field.

How long have you had your passion Dave? Did you lift weights through your teens?

Beer and porn became your new hobby...yeah?
The gym I go to the owner was a basket ball player. He got into weights training to build himself up a bit at 6ft 6. Now he is ready to compete in BB shows. He is massive.
