lol - mate I do agree with you - nowdays I wouldn't and prob couldn't eat 700g-1kg of mince in a sitting and prob wouldn't advise ppl to do so.

I was more using it as an example of how much my diet did change and how well it worked for me then.

I think when your younger you can get away with a few more things but nowdays as I said there is no way I could eat kg of mince in a sitting lol - but when I was 15, 16,17 I could eat and eat and pretty much never get hungry and then want to eat again an hour later...wish I could do that now lol

+ you have to remember I wasn't your normal teen, I didn't drink, didn't really go out, pretty much for about 1 1/2 - 2 years I was just training, sleeping and eating.
 
When I was younger ( 14-24) I tried the following this eating plan now and again.

First, I would stock up the fridge on quality protein items such as soft boiled eggs, chicken breasts, swiss cheese, burgers, and would put all of this in a large tupperware container in the fridge and during the day would snack out of it, at least every hour would eat 2 eggs, or one of the meat items and then at night, would get up and eat as well.

In addition, would eat regular meals, usually big salads and tons of fresh vegetables and maybe some brown rice.

I would also take a high fiber supplement as well.

This worked especially well when I had been training real hard for the previous 4-6 weeks and had hit a plateau.

Great to do over a three day weekend.
The results - I always achieved incredible solid muscle and strength gains in the weeks following this eating plan.

I'm only going to talk about experiences with my son.

If he doesnt eat a trillion calories a day and chase the cows over the paddock for milk, he loses weight, rapidly

On Monday he had drunk 6 litres of milk by 6.00pm.

But, and this is a massive but, he trains like 10 men.

So Kyle is right and Andy is right.

Not knowing what this kid looks like or how he trains, we have to be careful with advice.

I'd rather over eat than under eat though.

Only thing worse than a fat kid is a skinny kid

My height is about 5 Foot 3 Inches at the moment and i will get up my current diet soon. I drink about 2 Litres of milk, 2-3 Protein shakes and a lot of water throughout the day.
PTC, 6 Litres of milk...thats insane :P
 
Well, I would never advise jumping in with 6 litres of milk on your first day.

I just say that if you are below the weight you want to be, eat more. Wait a few weeks and see what happens.

If you put on weight, great, keep going.

If you eat more and still don't put on weight, eat more still.

If the weight you put is entirely fat, then you have to adjust your training, and if you refuse to, well okay so you put on a couple of kilograms of fat, fine eat less from now on. An extra couple of kgs is not going to kill you.

The thing is that we are not talking about someone eating more and then sitting on the couch watching Oprah. We're talking about more calories in for someone training hard - doesn't have to be Max hard, but 3 sessions a week where you go into the gym and grunt and sweat for 30-60 minutes.

So even if the extra food makes you fat, you'll be fat but strong and fit. Thus the fatness is not a health issue. "Kyle you bastard I don't have six-pack abs anymore!" So what, you'll live.

Whereas if you eat too little and train hard, you'll get skinnier, eating up your own muscle, and might get overtrained and injure yourself in the gym.

Thus, eating too much and training hard = no health problems
eating too little and training hard = possible health problems

So if you are underweight or an average weight, I would always err on the side of eating more rather than less, keeping in mind that you adjust it as you go.
