Trt in Austrailia
From blasting and cruising since a young age for competative bodybuilding what are the chances of getting trt from the doctors and what are the legal aspects now also do they usually include hcg with trt ? Sick of cruising on my own methods

I'd say if you have low T which is directly impacting your mental health any Doctor is obliged to give you the required care. Haven't been there though but if I ever do I'll be reminding any holding me back of their duty of care.

No sane GP in Australia would prescribe steroids for you based on a low test reading without first referring you to an endocrinologist. The low (make that the lowest) level of what is considered falling within the normal range has recently been lowered even further..., making it virtually impossible for either a GP or a specialist to justify a prescription for TRT. You can always try though. All the best.

It's curious that women get HRT thrown at them but with men it's near impossible to get prescribed
Australia is 50 years (if not more) behind Europe and the Middle East (and perhaps other countries) when it comes to understanding man from a hormonal point of view. Even the US is more open minded than us here when it comes to the subject of the aging male.

You make a good observation Darkoz. Thank you.

what we are behind middle east, i would doubt that very much. prove it.
Not interested, so please give it a rest or learn to put my words in context. As far as proving it, you may do that all by yourself by heading over to the Mid-East and tell the specialist there that your testosterone is low, then see their response compared with that of an Australian specialist, who is only doing his job according to our Australian medical system. Again just so you don't take me out of context (as you seem to have a PhD in doing so), I'm strictly restricting my post to the subject of male hormones here.

Have you been to the Mid-East, or do you base everything on all that you hear and read in the media? I mean some westerners still think the Mideast is all desert, yet it's snowing right now in my country of origin, Lebanon..., with zero desert to be found anywhere within its borders. But then again what the hell would I know!

don't make bs assertions simply because Aust's approach does not agree with yours. sometimes you talk bs.

BS assertion you say? Now you prove it, since we're both Australians who live in Australia, prove me wrong by pointing to one single endocrinologist who would prescribe testosterone for you based on what you tell him instead of what your blood test results show? I've been there done that, so please don't accuse me of making a false assertion, when it is you who is guilty of what you are charging me with.

I don't disrespect you, so please do not show me disrespect.

Thank you.

listen, you made the claim that aust is behind the middle east, how so? Is it because you can get TRT there but not in Oz?

It should be tough to get TRT in Australia, and it is.

to answer opening post, I know of one 50+ guy who is on TRT and benches 200kg, so it can't be impossible to find a doctor.

yes bazza, how he got the TRT is either testimony to his convincing character to plead his need for drugs, or the GP is one of the few that disregards medical protocol.

Why should it be spart when women are offered it as soon as they reach a certain age and yet men's needs are almost completely ignored.

Atrophy of the Testicles is concerning, not just from Testosterone perspective.

Secondly, the hormonal system is huge. Tinkering with that, then if anything goes wrong and your natural production is lost forever is concerning.

Pretty sure it would be relatively easy to get prescribed TRT in Australia if you knew what you were doing, nudge nudge wink wink. I considered it long and hard for almost a Year, but decided the risks weren't worth it.

I'm not talking about some younger bloke trying to get it for some lifting gains, I'm comparing women of a certain age being encouraged to go onto HRT to blokes of the same age being ignored.

And that's a very valid point indeed..., and the medical community knows it, so there's no point dancing around the issue.

My ears are aching from constantly hearing about how testosterone might speed up the proliferation, or even cause prostate cancer. Yet, for every time the word prostate cancer is mentioned in the context of male hormone, one ought to also mention the words breast cancer in women (replacing estrogen/progesterone), yet (and that's partly Darkoz's) and my own frustration, it is not mentioned.

As Darkoz has correctly stated, one is encouraged, whilst the other is not only discouraged, but has been ignored all the way since the 1950s until our present day.

The point I was trying to make was that with Men, shutdown (a consequence of TRT) was concerning enough for me to chose not to attempt to get it.
