Lol def not mate.. I'm trolling.
I'm agree with u on volume for beginners but with assistance thrown in for sure.
I've had guys go from 70-100kg bench in 3 months from just 3xbench a week and working hard on weighted dips.
cheers Trent
Yeah, I was trolling too...
I'm coming to your gym Mon with the ptc crew. How far are u from movie world?

id say weak points are mainly a technique issue for beginners
but cgbp will make you stronger, couple that with normal benching with high volume and that should help your bench, helping you hone in on technique, adding mass, getting stronger in general.

This thread is funny.
I've ran a modified smolov jnr and Coan for bench.
I got my best gains from smolov, but it's not a sustainable program. Maybe something you'd bring out once or twice a year.
Coan I like a lot, it's what I base all my lifting around at the moment, and should see me PR everything at this comp on Sunday.
If you bench less than 115-120, just stick to Coan type progressions and you will be fine.
Make sure you have a good set up, and smash your back work.
Not sure if I should get into the whole technique thing again......
You really think that technique changes will get 40kg bencher to 60kg.

Sheiko if you have the time, Smolov Jr if you have the balls. Coan bench cycles also work well.
I don't follow his "programs" I make my own.
My reps/sets/% are the same though.
Same with sheiko. People follow it as written... You need to adapt these big name programs to suit you.
