Some journalists are just self absorbed egotists, like the one in that video and especially the crew from 60 minutes.
Granted what you're saying here Darko. However it's the selective nature of where and to whom the question is being asked was what Jimmy Dore referring to re this "tough" journalist.

He (Jimmy) did mention Bush, Blair and war crimes or blood on their hands etc, that no journalist would dare even ask or contemplate/insinuate asking these former leaders such a question. Similarly, I've yet to see/hear of one single journalist here in Australia who's got the guts to ask our former PM Mr. John Howard if he believes that he's also got blood on his hands re Iraq, and why he should not face the same fate the former Serbian leader Mr. Slobodan Milošević had to face in the Hague based on the Chilcot Inquiry/Report? Perhaps some questions are forbidden from being asked, even in a secular liberal democracy such as ours here in Oz.

"Male sex workers report a spike in trade by Republican National Convention attendees

IT’S BEEN a great week for gay escorts in Cleveland.
Male sex workers contacted by The New York Post said business was booming, with Republican National Convention attendees — most of them married — clamouring for their services."

"Eleven lies Donald Trump told in his convention speech

DESPITE promising “the truth, and nothing else” in his convention speech, Donald Trump presented the nation with a series of previously debunked claims — and some new ones — today.

They included the U.S. tax burden, the perils facing police, Hillary Clinton’s record and more. A look at some of the Republican presidential nominee’s claims and how they compare with the facts: ......... "

Let's have bit of fun Sir. Please check out this name: Bassem Youssef..., a heart surgeon from Egypt who has just made it into the US. The man is the equivalent of the American John Stewart. Neither the military dictator Mubarak appreciated what he had to say, nor the former president Mohammad Morsi. So off to the US he goes....

As he makes it clear, people who are voting for Trump would still vote for him no matter what negative things you might say about the man.

this must be a joke. Howard being compared to someone promoting ethnic cleansing. it is a worry.

Some people (perhaps) out of fear; ignorance, blind support, or these three combined, are unable to lean towards impartiality and speak the truth out loud. On the contrary, they much prefer to cling to their unfounded biases that are firmly grounded in ignorance and the blind following of a "leader". This phenomena is not restricted to a time or place in our human history, but is a sickness that inflicts many sufferers, irrespective of their background.

John Howard's continued lies about the reasons for invading Iraq in the face of the scathing Chilcot Report http://www.iraqinquiry.org.uk/ remind us of his deep dishonesty and poor judgment, writes deputy editor Sandi Keane.https://independentaustralia.net/po...f-his-deep-dishonesty-and-poor-judgement,9217

Worshipping the cult of military and intelligence agencies led Australia to an unjust war, writes Professor Stuart Rees.

The last time I checked, I did not see or hear of any Iraqi army invading or even threatening any Australians abroad or our national security right here at home. Yet the west takes it upon itself to be the world's policeman, a very despised and unwelcomed arrogant policeman at that. No Australian would accept another country sending its troops over here to fix our domestic/national problems, so why do some accept our troops involvement in a war that was based on concocted up lies? "Oh it's all those WMDs", these twisted minded blind supporters scream out loud! Oh yes the WMDs. When they realised that there was none to be found, they changed tack and said, we need to change the Iraqi regime and save the Iraqis from this horrible dictator Saddam! Mmm...., I'll stop right here and welcome any one who is (half) open minded to a debate re this issue. There really is no debate to be had since the whole world is fully aware of who was the main supporter of this evil dictator way back when...., even as he was (allegedly and according to Bush) gassing his own people, the Iraqi Kurds back in March 1988 http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article1148.htm

Ethnic cleansing is a war crime granted, other crimes do not have to fall into that same exact category to also be labeled war crimes against humanity.

People need to wake up to the facts by realising that for as long as political advantage is seen as a priority over human life, or even national security, this crime will reoccur. Australia as a sovereign nation ought to make its decisions (to go or not to go to war) based on logic, reason, and national security, and not simply to appeal to the chest beating American warmongering machine.

So in the interest of seeking justice and truth with the people of Iraq, placing Mr. John Howard under house arrest, pending investigation for war crimes by The Hague may well be a desirable step forward..., to reason and contemplate otherwise, is where the real "worry" lies.

I know an Iragi refugee who is somewhat pissed by all this too. Rightly so. I can understand your anger Fadi. Our Capitalist societies aren't perfect. In much a similar way that Dictatorships use propaganda, our Capitalist 'Big end of town' spreads its own propaganda. Both do kill, ours a lot less though I assume. We have a bit more choice and freedom too, through Democracy etc.

But Howard was probably just going along with the big boys, the Yanks and the Brits. He may have been complicit, but can he be accused of being directly responsible?

Anyone else wondering if W was so keen to get Saddam coz Bush snr was prolly in Saddam's crosshairs due to the first Gulf War?

Sir, please keep one thing in mind here, I'm not writing as an Iraqi; a Lebanese, a Muslim, or anyone else but one who is Australian, a very much impartial Australian. My family, my relatives, my friends and work colleagues..., all know my personality well. I am not a partial person nor do I support or favour a partial stance or character. Darko knows (because I made it very clear to him), that I'd be the first one to put in / report to the authority a radical Muslim especially because I am a Muslim. In other words, I am not to be trusted if you are the type of person who likes to hurt others, because I will do something about it, even if you happen to be one of my five daughters. That's what Islam teaches..., no one is above the law, and we ought to be impartial in our judgment when we see a wrong being committed.

A murder committed by a dictator or an autocratic so called leader, whose position is supported by a secular liberal democratic government, makes both parties/government guilty in crime in my humble and impartial opinion. A case in point as I write these words is what's going on in Egypt right now. Without the full support of the democratic west, these autocratic military dictator would have no leg to stand on..., period!

So in a nutshell (and I've already said this in my previous post), that for as long as political advantage is seen as a priority over human life, crimes against humanity would continue unabated. I remind you, I write as one Australian individual who sees both sides of the coin, a man who appreciates and respects human life and dignity irrespective of background.

Edit/add: On reflection, I'd rather say that I'm writing as one human being first and foremost.

But Johnny boy Howard a War Criminal??

W maybe, but little Johnny?

It's always a worry when immigrants living here talk like that , "the evil west" "the western warmongers" and so on.
It does nothing for peoples perception of their religious and political beliefs.
