Squat 5 times a week

I think it's hard to not get leg development when you're doing 60-70 lifts over 85% a week

Does or has anyone squatted 5 days a week? Jim wendler has a routine in his 2nd book where you squat 5 days a week, how ever he does mention the fact you need to use caution.

Curious to see how people went and if they are still alive :p

Yes, I've squatted 5x/week. After three years of training I was declared a front squat specialist by the coaches at the AIS and was only given back squats 1x/week vs. 4x/week fronts.

Now please let's not mix apples with oranges here; what I was doing was done for the sole purpose of becoming a more proficient weightlifter and not some freaky big bodybuilder.

Fadi.

That is a pretty good ratio of squatting. I spoke to a british chap who went to Delhi for the 2010 games and he was doing 2 front squat sessions, 2 back squats. Nice bloke.

I did 4 days on smolov, and it was tough on my 34yo body. Usually 3 days but considering scaling back to 2.
