Seriously heavy duty strength equipment

America has over 35 Feds, big obstacle

Too many countries on probation in the IPF because of positive results

Its a shit television spectacle, OL is a million times better to watch, its an athletic sport. No room for 2 Strength sports in my opinion.

WSM used to be poor, too many static events. They introduce the aerobic events, better viewing, TV, now booming.

12 spotters milling around a squatter is crap.

The OL guys joke on vids about support staff and support equipment around a PL squatting

Its not a pure sport unfortunately.

But I love it as an underground sport, where it belongs, keeping fuckheads out

The 12 spotters bit is what made me ask about hydraulics. Wouldn't need people standing around the lifter.

Not that WL is massive in the western world in the first place though.

I still get to watch

Olympics
Commonwealth Games
World Championships
European Championships

On TV.

Have never seen a single PL comp on telly, and I'm 49

Look up WL WR, all on one page

Look up PL WR, get back to me in 3 months when you've found them all

Its too late. Should have been attempted at the very beginning.

If decent people were in charge it may have been, but it didnt happen

IPF has made attempts to distance itself from "traditional" powerlifting.

Fancy wiping records by changing classes, that will endear them to all lol

Its a noble effort, but a wasted one.

the Olympics are not the be all and end all.

PL has survived for 50 years without them
