Yeah mate, I plan to hold both CAPO and PTC comps next year.

There will be 3-lift, and single lift comps, possibly 5 lift comps and even strongman.

On this day, the national Big Bench In Paradise comp was held at Westend.
We had 2 lifters compete. Emma and Zach.
Emma's first comp she walked away with a national bench record. 37.5kgs @ 46kg
Zach also got another national record to add to his stack. 160kg at ~123 and 17yo.
 
Last night Emma pulled 80kg 5x3. Lunged the carpark 3 times with 30kg, and did 20 UDL's with 32kg.

Loz squatted 160kg 3x5

Damo squatted 145 5x3 2" under, benched 100kg 5x3 and did 36 UDL's with the 64kg KB.
When Damo started he squatted 160 2" above parallel, benched 112.5 and deadlifted 165kg. He will be retesting his maxes next Friday.

Mike squatted 160kg 3x3 and benched 135kg 5x3.

A new client Mel, in her 40's and 55kg started.
She did a few sets of body weight squats perfectly, but had massive technique issues as soon as we used the bar or broomstick. We will be welling hard on getting her squatting well with the bar ASAP.
She benched 20kg for up to 12 reps. Deadlift techique work, KB shoulder press ad KB rows.


Tonight
Loz benched to boards, floor presses


I benched in the shirt. Got a fairly hard 160 paused with Jeff Lam. Then did shirted 2 board work, reverse red bands 3x3 at 150kg, pullups and cutls.

Steve squatted 152.5kg 5x5 and swung the 64kg KB for 3 sets.

Kurt squatted 160kg 5x5 and did GHR's.

Marc did log pressing with up to 100kg with added orange bands for 5x3.

Brent squatted 40kg to 4.5 plates for 3x5, benched 45kg for 12,7,8.
Done his first ever deadlift, 80kg.
Mp 20kg 3x8 and KB rows.
 
Last night
Emma squatted 45kg 3x8, benched 32.5kg 3x5
Front squats, MP and rows.

Zach pulled 180kg 3x3, benched 110kg for 12,6,7
Rowd 56kg kb 5x5 and did weighted planks.

Steve benched 95kg 5x5 and 115kg to 3 board.

Mike pulled 140kg 5x5 from 100mm deficit.
He also did rows and swings.

Ghosty squatted up to 140kg for singles

Mel pulled 40kg 3x5, pressed the 6kg KBs overhead 3x12, benched 20kg 12,8,8 and squatted with a thera-band around her knees with a broom stick.


Tonight
Loz pulled and did paused squats

Brent (22yo 112kg) deadlifted 60kg 3x5. MP'd, high pulled and attempted the Kleenex Komplex again. Failed on round 2.

Steve pulled 240kg for 3,3,2 (missed 3rd 2" shy of lockout).

Kurt benched 80kg 3x5 and did rows and chins.

Tonight*

Ricky squatted 200kg 5x5, then worked on some bench technique. We changed a few little things which seem to have worked well. He benched up to 140kg 3x5.*

Zach pulled 190kg 5x3 off 3.5 plates. Benched 115kg 3x8 and did chins and swings.*

Tish squatted 30kg 3x12, benched 20kg 3x12, pushed the prowler and flipped the light tractor tyre across the driveway x3, then completed the Kleenex Komplex.*

Damo pulled 155kg 3x3 from a 60mm deficit. 4 weeks ago he pulled a hard 165kg. I added a bit of weight to the bar, but didn't tell him how much. He pulled an easy 165kg, than an easier 172.5kg. Next Friday we will see where he is at, he will have finished his first 6 week training block.*
He benched 110kg for a double, did high pulls and face pulls, front squatted 100kg 5x3 and smashed his old UDL record with a new record of 40 reps with the 64kg bell.*

Mel finally squatted the bar, to boxes about 2" above parallel. We will work on getting to depth and them work on adding a bit of weight.*
She benched 20kg 3x12, swings, KB rows and curls.*

Ghosty did some benching.*

Mike squatted 160kg x5, and 170kg 3x3. He also benched 120kg 2x8.*

Tonight
Emma pulled 90kg 3x3, lunged the carpark x3 with 32.5kg, and did a top set of 20 UDLs with 40kg.

Tish squatted 35kg 3x8, deep. Benched, lunged, and did a top set of 12 UDLs with 32kg.

Mike squatted 165kg 3x3, and benched 135kg for triples, with a paused 145 for fun after.

Loz squatted 165 3x5

Damo squatted 157.5 3x2, benched 112.5 3x1 pretty easily, and did GHR's and UDLs

Kurt pulled up to 2 singles at 215kg.

Mel squatted 20kg 3x8, benched 22.5kg 3x12, GHR's 3x5

Ghosty squatted 120kg for 11, then a couple of reps at 130.

Loooong time since I updated this, sorry to any of you that read them.

Last night.

Emma pulled 105kg 3x1, lunged the carpark and back with 25kg, then did a set of 20 reps on UDLs with the 48kg KB.

Tish squatted 40kg 3x12, benched 25kg 12,10,10, GHR's, KB rows and 40kg 3x12 UDLs.

Mel squatted 20kg 3x12 to 4 plates, she couldn't squat a broomstick x5 to 6.5 plates When she started. Benched 25kg 3x12, GHR, KB rows and 4kg tabata thrusters. She made it to 3mins.

A new guy Alex came in. Has been doing BBing for a few years. He a big boy at 5'10 and 110kg.
We got him squatting low bar, made a single at 180.
He lives over an hour away, and has to cross the toll bridge to get here, but he said he'd be back for more tomorrow.

Loz squatted to to 165x5

Mike squatted 170kg for triples, benched over 130 for reps.

Ricky benched 180kg 2x3 and 190kg for 2 in the slingshot.

Matty pulled 240, missed 250.

Damo squatted 135kg 3x5 and then 140x3 in wraps. He also benched 70kg 3x12.

Ghosty changed his bench grip, it's now very pretty.
Lots of reps between 60kg-85kg.


Tonight
Steve did stuff. Was going to bench, but is having issues with his shoulder.

Zach pulled a great 220kg. His deadlift is moving!
All his work is paying off, he should smash this next comp.
He also benched 140 for 5 triples, first rep paused.

Loz benched up to 105kg x5, then 8x3 in the ram.

I benched a hard 155kg x3 in the shirt.
Pulled 220kg 3x3

Alex returned for his second session in as many days.
He benched a paused 150kg, and pulled 5 easy singles at 170. He is pulling Coan style.

Really enjoyed tonight's session.

Emma pulled up to 85kg. It's about the most she is able to pull whilst keeping herself tight, she did 3 singles with great form. She lunged the carpark and back 3x with 25kg.

Tishs' current squat PB is 50kg. Tonight she did it for 5x5. Benched 27.5kg 8,8,6

Tish and Emma both then headed off to the chin bar. They had 50 reps each in as little amount of sets possible. Tish is using the blue band, Emma the red.
Tish finished the session with the KKK in 7.38.

Matt has decided to do the glasshouse mountain strongman comp. he did a bit if training for that today.
Rack pulls with 170-260.
Arm over arm with the prowler +100kg for 20m x3
100kg axle C&P for easy singles.

Kurt benched 80kg 5x5

Loz squatted 170x5, then tried planks for the first time. He asked me to add weight, I recommend he try body weight first. He got 30 seconds.

Damo squatted 140 3x5, then wrapped for 150 3x3.
Benched 90kg 3x5, did pendaly rows and GHRs.

Mike squatted 140kg for 5 sets of 4-5 and then a single at 150. His current PB is 152.5.

Mel squatted 27.5kg 8,10,10 and benched 27.5kg 3x8.
GHRs for 12 then 2x20 with the yellow band.
She finished the night by whooping tishs arse on KKK with 6.15, I was very impressed.
