Power rack suitability

FWIW I have used a force commercial at GC Barbell (way too wide and a pain) and an normal MMPR at PTC Gold COast, MMPR is marginally better then the LC2 dunno what the price difference is now days.

Given the option I'd save a couple bucks on the rack and put it towards an ABC bar or more plates. If you buy 200kg it only takes a year or two to run out of plates

The MMPR is $595, the LC2 $575, so only a $20 difference. The packages, on the other hand, are very different.

From gym direct - MMPR rack, asfid bench, oly bar and 80kg weights: $1150 + freight.

From Cyberfit - LC2 rack, fid bench, oly bar and 140kg weights: $1178 + freight.

So 60kg of weight for virtually the same price is a BIG plus.

So I can't help but agree mate. Unfortunately, my ideal package isn't available from the one retailer and mixing and matching increases the price due to added freight charges, so I'm facing up to the fact I am going to be making several compromises but at least I'll be able to train at home (currently sitting around losing muscle and gaining fat while I procrastinate!).

The new hd2 half rack at cyberfit looks amazing.

The guy will usually do up a nice package for your budget.

Yes, I agree it's a great looking half-rack with good long safeties and the added storage pegs. Unfortunately, the Cyberfit site reckons its 2.5m high. Just too tall for my space...
