overhead press forum bests

While standing around trying to fill in time after taining I thought I would have a crack at strict press on standard bar. Havent tried in a long time, punched out a very easy 130kg, put 140kg on and totally ballsed it up. Think I would be good for 135-137.7kg

I can strict press 75. Ill be trying for a new max in a few weeks.

Might fark around with push press this week. Last effort was 85 think.

Tim.

Physio gave me the all clear! I'm back in the game!
Did first shoulder training session in ages today. Worked up to 75kg for a strict press for not only an all time PB on my first try but also my first body weight press!
Then did some drop sets, 70kg for 2 reps, 60kg for 3, 50kg for 8,3,3 rest paused

Finished with some full ROM plate raises from dick to overhead. 5kg plate and did 1 rep, few breaths, 2 reps, few breaths, 3 reps etc all the way up to 10 reps then worked back down again. Pump was brutal!! Then finished with a few sets of face pulls. Expect some big pressing from me in the coming weeks!

well done, added.

Do you want to stick with wilks scoring, more suited to powerlifting, or use Sinclair, used by weightlifting.
